While carbon fiber and other type of cloth are well known for its anti-static properties as shown in WO 2021/018256 and WO 2004/071766, the prior art is not designed to handle the practical realities of applying car wraps, window tint, and paint protection films.
While applying vinyl, tint or paint protection film on a substrate, the surrounding air, including the installer, needs to be dust and lint free to avoid getting particles on the adhesive side of the material being installed. The installation process of applying car wraps, window tint, and paint protection film causes static build from the removal of the back lining of the material being applied.
Prior to the present subject matter, there was no way of preventing an installer from getting shocked from static electricity or remaining lint free. The highly insulated nature of the present subject matter allows the installer wearing it to be protected from static electricity and remain lint free.
When lint gets under a car wrap, window tint, or paint protection film, the film needs to be removed and re-installed with a new piece of material. The present subject matter allows for less wasted material, time, and money during the installation process of these jobs.
A special combination of polyester and carbon fibers are woven together to create a shirt that limits both lint and static electricity build up. The polyester and carbon fiber are weaved together to make a fabric which is then cut out into different shapes and sizes.
However, the long sleeve shirt is the most suitable for the previously mentioned jobs.
In some embodiments, the shirt may be dyed different colors to the user's preference. There may also be thumb cutouts in the sleeves for additional lint and static electricity protection.
In some embodiments, the weave of the cloth is 95%-98% polyester and 2%-5% carbon fiber, however, the preferred embodiment is that of 98% polyester and 2% carbon fiber.
