Claims
- 1. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device comprising:a transparent insulating substrate; a gate line formed on the transparent insulating substrate and a gate pad connected to the gate line; an insulating layer formed on the gate line; a data line formed on the insulating layer and a data pad connected to the data line; wherein at least one of the gate pad and the data pad have a double-layered structure including a bottom metal layer and a top transparent conductive layer, the bottom layer and the top transparent conductive layer having different patterns.
- 2. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 1, wherein the different patterns are a rectangular shaped pattern and a comb teeth shaped pattern.
- 3. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 2, wherein a plurality of common electrodes and a plurality of pixel electrodes are on a same substrate, and at least a pixel electrode and a counter electrode are provided in each of pixels so as to form an electric field which has a component extending substantially in parallel with the same substrate.
- 4. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 2, wherein said bottom metal layer includes aluminum.
- 5. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 3, wherein said bottom metal layer includes aluminum.
- 6. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 1, wherein the different patterns include a pattern separated to plural regions.
- 7. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 6, wherein a plurality of common electrodes and a plurality of pixel electrodes are on a same substrate, and at least a pixel electrode and a counter electrode are provided in each of pixels so as to form an electric field which has a component extending substantially in parallel with the same substrate.
- 8. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 7, wherein said bottom metal layer includes aluminum.
- 9. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 7, wherein a plurality of common electrodes and a plurality of pixel electrodes are provided on a same substrate, and at least a pixel electrode and a counter electrode are provided in each of pixels so as to form an electric field which has a component extending substantially in parallel with the same substrate.
- 10. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 6, wherein said bottom metal layer includes aluminum.
- 11. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 1, wherein a plurality of common electrodes and a plurality of pixel electrodes are on a same substrate, and at least a pixel electrode and a counter electrode are provided in each of pixels so as to form an electric field which has a component extending substantially in parallel with the same substrate.
- 12. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 11, wherein said bottom metal layer includes aluminum.
- 13. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 1, wherein said bottom metal layer includes aluminum.
- 14. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device comprising:a transparent insulating substrate; a gate line formed on the transparent insulating substrate and a gate pad connected to the gate line; an insulating layer formed on the gate line; a data line formed on the insulating layer and a data pad connected to the data line; wherein the gate pad has a double-layered structure including a bottom metal layer and a top transparent conductive layer, and the data pad has a single-layered structure of a transparent conductive layer.
- 15. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 14, wherein the bottom metal layer and the top transparent conductive layer have different patterns.
- 16. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 15, wherein the bottom metal layer includes aluminum.
- 17. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 16, wherein a plurality of common electrodes and a plurality of pixel electrodes are provided on a same substrate, and at least a pixel electrode and a counter electrode are provided in each of pixels so as to form an electric field which has a component extending substantially in parallel with the same substrate.
- 18. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 15, wherein a plurality of common electrodes and a plurality of pixel electrodes are provided on a same substrate, and at least a pixel electrode and a counter electrode are provided in each of pixels so as to form an electric field which has a component extending substantially in parallel with the same substrate.
- 19. A panel of a liquid crystal display, comprising:a transparent insulating substrate; a gate line formed on the substrate and having a double-layered structure including a bottom metal layer and a top indium tin oxide layer, the gate line being extended to form a gate pad; a plurality of common electrodes formed on the substrate, the plurality of common electrodes being connected to each other and being separated from the gate line; an insulating layer covering the gate line and the plurality of common electrodes; a plurality of pixel electrodes formed on the insulating layer, one of the plurality of pixel electrodes being arranged between two of the plurality of common electrodes; a data line formed on the insulating layer and extending to form a data pad; and a switching element having a gate connected to the gate line, a source connected to the data line and a drain connected to one of the plurality of pixel electrodes.
- 20. The panel according to claim 19, wherein the data line has a double-layered structure including a bottom metal layer and a top indium tin oxide layer.
