Claims
- 1. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device comprising:
first and second substrates; a liquid crystal layer between said first and second substrates; a plurality of drain lines and gate lines formed on the first substrate and crossing each other in a matrix form; a plurality of pixels formed by adjoining said drain lines and said gate lines; wherein at least a signal line is formed with at least two contact holes over the signal line in each pixel, said two contact holes being arranged to connect between different electrodes.
- 2. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 1, wherein a voltage of said signal line is set to be a constant voltage.
- 3. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 1, wherein a first electrode, second electrode, and third electrode are formed above the signal line, one of said two contact holes connecting between said signal line and said first electrode, and another of said two contact holes connecting between said second electrode and said third electrode.
- 4. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 1, wherein a first electrode, second electrode, and third electrode are formed above the signal line, said second electrode being arranged with an overlapped portion to the signal line with an insulating layer therebetween, one of said two contact holes connecting between said signal line and said first electrode, and another of said two contact holes connecting between said second electrode and said third electrode.
- 5. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 4, wherein one end of said second electrode is connected to an active device.
- 6. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 5, wherein said second electrode and said signal line forms a storage capacitance with an insulating layer therebetween.
- 7. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 1, wherein one contact hole of said two contact holes which connects with a constant voltage extends deeper than the another contact hole of said two contact holes.
- 8. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 1, wherein said two contact holes are arranged substantially parallel to the gate line.
- 9. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 1, wherein said signal line is made of an opaque material and connecting material formed in said two contact holes are transparent conductive material.
- 10. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 3, wherein said one contact hole is arranged nearer to the drain line than said another contact hole.
- 11. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 10, wherein a pixel region is surrounded by first and second drain lines, a distance between said another contact hole to the first drain line which is arranged near to said one contact hole is greater than a distance between said another contact hole and the second drain line.
- 12. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device comprising:
first and second substrates; a liquid crystal layer between said first and second substrates; a plurality of drain lines and gate lines formed on the first substrate and crossing each other in a matrix form; a plurality of pixels formed by adjoining said drain lines and said gate lines; wherein at least a counter voltage line is formed with at least two contact holes over a counter voltage line in each pixel, one of said two contact holes connecting between said counter voltage signal line and a counter electrode, another of said two contact holes connecting between a connecting electrode and a pixel electrode.
- 13. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 12, wherein said counter voltage line is set to be a constant voltage.
- 14. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 12, wherein one end of said connecting electrode is connected to an active device.
- 15. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 12, wherein said connecting electrode and said counter voltage line forms a storage capacitance with an insulating layer therebetween.
- 16. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 12, wherein said counter electrode and said pixel electrode are arranged on the same layer.
- 17. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 13, wherein said one contact hole extends deeper than said another contact hole.
- 18. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 17, wherein said two contact holes are arranged substantially parallel to the gate line.
- 19. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 12, wherein said counter voltage line is made of an opaque material and said counter electrode is made of a transparent conductive material.
- 20. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 12, wherein said one contact hole is arranged nearer to the drain line than said another contact hole.
- 21. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 20, wherein a pixel region is surrounded by first and second drain lines, a distance between said another contact hole to the first drain line which is arranged near to said one contact hole is greater than a distance between said another contact hole and said second drain line.
- 22. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 12, wherein said one contact hole connects said counter voltage line and said counter electrode is formed on the drain line with an organic insulating layer therebetween.
- 23. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device comprising:
first and second substrates; a liquid crystal layer between said first and second substrates; a plurality of drain lines and gate lines formed on the first substrate and crossing each other in a matrix form; a plurality of pixels formed by adjoining said drain lines and said gate lines; wherein at least a signal line is set to be at a constant voltage and is formed with at least two contact holes over the signal line in each pixel, one of said two contact holes being connected to the constant voltage and another of said two contact holes being connected to an image signal voltage.
- 24. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 23, wherein said one contact hole extends deeper than said another contact hole.
- 25. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 23, wherein said two contact holes are arranged substantially parallel to the gate line.
- 26. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 23, wherein said signal line is made of an opaque material and connecting material formed into said contact holes are made of transparent conductive material.
- 27. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 23, wherein said one contact hole is arranged nearer to the drain line than said another contact hole.
- 28. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 27, wherein a pixel region is surrounded by first and second drain lines, a distance between said another contact hole to the first drain line which is arranged near to said one contact hole is greater than a distance between said another contact hole to the second drain line.
- 29. An active matrix type liquid crystal display device according to claim 23, wherein said one contact hole is connected to said signal line and a counter electrode is formed on the drain line with an organic insulating layer therebetween.
