Claims
- 1. A display device comprising:a first transistor and a second transistor which have a semiconductor layer provided over a substrate and comprising two source regions, two drain regions and two channel forming regions, each of said first transistor and said second transistor comprising corresponding one of said two source regions and corresponding one of said two drain regions and corresponding one of said two channel forming regions provided between the corresponding one of said two source regions and the corresponding one of said two drain regions; a pixel electrode provided over said substrate and connected with said first transistor at one of the source region and the drain region thereof; a data bus line provided over said substrate and connected with said second transistor at one of the source region and the drain region thereof; and a gate bus line provided over said substrate, wherein a first part of said gate bus line overlaps with a first part of said semiconductor layer in said first transistor, wherein a second part of said gate bus line overlaps with a second part of said semiconductor layer in said second transistor, wherein said first part of said gate bus line is narrower than said second part of said gate bus line, and wherein said data bus line overlaps with the channel forming region of said second transistor.
- 2. The device of claim 1 wherein said first and second transistors are thin film transistors.
- 3. The device of claim 1 wherein said substrate comprises glass.
- 4. The device of claim 1 wherein said pixel electrode is transparent.
- 5. The device of claim 1 wherein said pixel electrode comprises ITO.
- 6. The device of claim 1 wherein said display device is a projector.
- 7. A display device comprising:a first transistor and a second transistor which have a semiconductor layer provided over a substrate and comprising two source regions, two drain regions and two channel forming regions, each of said first transistor and said second transistor comprising corresponding one of said two source regions and corresponding one of said two drain regions and corresponding one of said two channel forming regions provided between the corresponding one of said two source regions and the corresponding one of said two drain regions; a pixel electrode provided over said substrate and connected with said first transistor at one of the source region and the drain region thereof; a data bus line provided over said substrate and connected with said second transistor at one of the source region and the drain region thereof; a gate bus line provided over said substrate; and a light-interrupting stripe overlapping with at least the channel forming region of said second transistor, wherein a first part of said gate bus line overlaps with a first part of said semiconductor layer in said first transistor, wherein a second part of said gate bus line overlaps with a second part of said semiconductor layer in said second transistor, wherein said first part of said gate bus line is narrower than said second part of said gate bus line, and wherein said data bus line overlaps with the channel forming region of said second transistor.
- 8. The device of claim 7 wherein said first and second transistors are thin film transistors.
- 9. The device of claim 7 wherein said substrate comprises glass.
- 10. The device of claim 7 wherein said pixel electrode is transparent.
- 11. The device of claim 7 wherein said pixel electrode comprises ITO.
- 12. The device of claim 7 wherein said light-interrupting stripe comprises a metal.
- 13. The device of claim 7 wherein said display device is a projector.
- 14. The device of claim 7 wherein said light-interrupting stripe is provided over said data bus line.
- 15. A display device comprising:a first transistor and a second transistor which have a semiconductor layer provided over a substrate and comprising two source regions, two drain regions and two channel forming regions, each of said first transistor and said second transistor comprising corresponding one of said two source regions and corresponding one of said two drain regions and corresponding one of said two channel forming regions provided between the corresponding one of said two source regions and the corresponding one of said two drain regions; a pixel electrode provided over said substrate and connected with said first transistor at one of the source region and the drain region thereof; a data bus line provided over said substrate and connected with said second transistor at one of the source region and the drain region thereof; a gate bus line provided over said substrate; and a light-interrupting stripe overlapping with at least the channel forming region of said second transistor, wherein a first part of said gate bus line overlaps with a first part of said semiconductor layer in said first transistor, wherein a second part of said gate bus line overlaps with a second part of said semiconductor layer in said second transistor, wherein said first part of said gate bus line is narrower than said second part of said gate bus line.
- 16. The device of claim 15 wherein said first and second transistors are thin film transistors.
- 17. The device of claim 15 wherein said substrate comprises glass.
- 18. The device of claim 15 wherein said pixel electrode is transparent.
- 19. The device of claim 15 wherein said pixel electrode comprises ITO.
- 20. The device of claim 15 wherein said light-interrupting stripe comprises a metal.
- 21. The device of claim 15 wherein said display device is a projector.
- 22. The device of claim 15 wherein said light-interrupting stripe is provided over said data bus line.
- 23. A display device comprising:a first transistor and a second transistor which have a semiconductor layer provided over a substrate and comprising two source regions, two drain regions and two channel forming regions, each of said first transistor and said second transistor comprising corresponding one of said two source regions and corresponding one of said two drain regions and corresponding one of said two channel forming regions provided between the corresponding one of said two source regions and the corresponding one of said two drain regions; a pixel electrode provided over said substrate and connected with said first transistor at one of the source region and the drain region thereof; a data bus line provided over said substrate and connected with said second transistor at one of the source region and the drain region thereof; and a gate bus line provided over said substrate, wherein a first part of said gate bus line overlaps with a first part of said semiconductor layer in said first transistor, wherein a second part of said gate bus line overlaps with a second part of said semiconductor layer in said second transistor, wherein said first part of said gate bus line is narrower than said second part of said gate bus line.
- 24. The device of claim 23 wherein said first and second transistors are thin film transistors.
- 25. The device of claim 23 wherein said substrate comprises glass.
- 26. The device of claim 23 wherein said pixel electrode is transparent.
- 27. The device of claim 23 wherein said pixel electrode comprises ITO.
- 28. The device of claim 23 wherein said display device is a projector.
