Claims
- 1. A liquid crystal display panel comprising:
a transparent substrate; a semiconductor substrate; a liquid crystal layer interposed between said substrates; switching elements disposed on said semiconductor substrate; and a plurality of metal layers disposed on said switching elements, said plurality of metal layers being divided by a plurality of slits, respectively, and the slits being staggered from each other between adjacent metal layers therein.
- 2. A liquid crystal display panel according to claim 1, wherein semiconductor regions are disposed on said semiconductor substrate in positions corresponding to the slits of one of the metal layers most adjacent to said semiconductor substrate.
- 3. A liquid crystal display panel according to claim 2, wherein said semiconductor regions are N-type semiconductor regions and P-type semiconductor regions.
- 4. A liquid crystal display panel according to claim 3, wherein said semiconductor regions are connected to reference potentials.
- 5. A liquid crystal display panel according to claim 4, wherein said semiconductor regions are connected to reference potentials through either of said plurality of metal layers,
- 6. A liquid crystal display panel according to claim 1, wherein said plurality of metal layers comprise at least three layers.
- 7. A liquid crystal display device comprising:
a liquid crystal display comprising a transparent substrate; a semiconductor substrate; a liquid crystal layer interposed between said substrates; switching elements disposed on said semiconductor substrate; a plurality of metal layers disposed on said switching elements, said plurality of metal layers being divided by a plurality of slits, respectively, and the slits being staggered from each other between adjacent metal layers therein; a light source supplying light to said liquid crystal display panel; and an optical system enlarging and projecting light from said liquid crystal display panel.
- 8. A liquid crystal display device according to claim 7, wherein semiconductor regions are disposed on said semiconductor substrate in positions corresponding to the slits of one of the metal layers most adjacent to said semiconductor substrate.
- 9. A liquid crystal display device according to claim 8, wherein said semiconductor regions are N-type semiconductor regions and P-type semiconductor regions.
- 10. A liquid crystal display device according to claim 9, wherein said semiconductor regions are connected to reference potentials.
- 11. A liquid crystal display device according to claim 10, wherein said semiconductor regions are connected to reference potentials through either of said plurality of metal layers.
- 12. A liquid crystal display device according to claim 7, wherein said plurality of metal layers comprise at least three layers.
