Claims
- 1. A liquid detergent composition comprising enzymes, a boron derived enzyme stabilizing agent and a quaternary ammonium compound having a formula selected from the group consisting of: and mixtures thereof; wherein Q is a functional unit having the formula selected from the group consisting of: and mixtures thereof; wherein each R unit is independently H, C1-C6 alkyl, C1-C6 hydroxyalkyl, and mixtures thereof; each R1 unit is independently linear or branched C11-C22 alkyl, linear or branched C11-C22 alkenyl, and mixtures thereof; each R2 is H, C1-C4 alkyl, C1-C4 hydroxyalkyl, and mixtures thereof; X− is an anion; and n is 1 to 4.
- 2. The liquid detergent composition according to claim 1 wherein the quatemary ammonium compound is a quaternary ammonium ester of the formula: wherein R is methyl; and R1, n and X− are as defined in claim 1.
- 3. The liquid detergent composition according to claim 2 wherein R1 is independently linear or branched C15-C22 alkyl, linear or branched C1 5-C22 alkenyl, and mixtures thereof.
- 4. The liquid detergent composition according to claim 1 wherein the boron derived enzyme stabilizing agent is selected from the group consisting of borax, boric acid, the alkali metal or alkanolamine salts of tetraborate or metaborate and mixtures thereof.
- 5. The liquid detergent composition according to claim 1 wherein the composition has a pH which is between about 7 and about 10 when diluted to a 1% solution in distilled water.
- 6. The liquid detrgent composition according to claim 5 wherein composition has a pH which is between about 7.5 and about 8.5 when diluted to a 1% solution in distilled water.
- 7. The liquid detergent composition according to claim 1 wherein the composition comprises less than about 25% by weight of water.
- 8. The liquid detergent composition according to claim 7 wherein the composition comprises less than about 15% by weight of water.
- 9. A foam composition comprising enzymes, boron derived enzyme stabilizing agent and a quaternary ammoniurn compound having a formula selected from the group consisting of: and mixtures thereof; wherein Q is a functional unit having the formula selected from the group consisting of: and mixtures thereof; wherein each R unit is independently H, C1-C6 alkyl, C1-C6 hydroxyalkyl, and mixtures thereof; each R1 unit is independently linear or branched C11-C22 alkyl, linear or branched C11-C22 alkenyl, and mixtures thereof; each R2 is H, C1-C4 alkyl, C1-C4 hydroxyalkyl, and mixtures thereof; X− is an anion; and n is 1 to 4.
- 10. The foam composition according to claim 9 wherein the quaternary ammonium compound is a quaternary ammonium ester of the formula: wherein R is methyl; and R1, n and X− are as defined in claim 9.
- 11. The foam composition according to claim 9 wherein the boron derived enzyme stabilizing agent is selected from the group consisting of borax, boric acid, the alkali metal or alkanolamine salts of tetraborato or metaborate and mixtures thereof.
- 12. The foam composition according to claim 9 wherein the composition comprises less about 25% by weight of water.
- 13. The foam composition according to claim 12 wherein the composition comprises less than about 15% by weight of water.
- 14. A packaged product comprising:a liquid detergent composition according to claim 1; a propellant; and a container.
- 15. A packaged product according to claim 14 wherein the propellant is a non-liquifiable gas selected from carbon dioxide or nitrous oxide, or mixtures thereof.
