The disclosure relates to hairbrush devices and more particularly pertains to a new hairbrush device for evenly and easily distributing liquid hair product through hair while brushing.
The prior art relates to hairbrush devices. Existing devices lack a mechanical pump inside of the handle to distribute the stored liquid to a bladder within the head of the brush. Most existing devices utilize individual capillary tubes to each outlet aperture rather than having a plurality of outlet apertures extending through to the bladder. Known devices also lack a rubberized grip on the handle for added user comfort and grip.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a brush handle having a handle sidewall, a handle top end, and an open handle bottom end defining a handle reservoir. The handle top end has a feed aperture extending through to the handle reservoir. A cap is coupled to the brush handle and is selectively engageable with the handle bottom end. A brush head is coupled to the brush handle. The brush head has a head front side, a head back side, and a head perimeter defining a head inside. The head perimeter is coupled to the handle top end. The head front side has a plurality of dispense apertures extending through to the head inside. A plurality of bristles is coupled to the head front side. A bladder is coupled to the brush head within the head inside. The bladder is in fluid communication with the plurality of dispense apertures. A pump is coupled to the brush handle within the handle reservoir proximal the handle top end. The pump has a feed tube extending through the feed aperture to the bladder and a draw tube extending towards the handle bottom end. The pump has an actuator button extending through the handle sidewall.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
A cap 26 is coupled to the brush handle 12. The cap 26 is selectively engageable with the handle bottom end 18 to seal and unseal the handle reservoir 20 to allow for refilling of liquid hair products. The cap 26 is threadably engageable with the handle bottom end 18.
A brush head 28 is coupled to the brush handle 12. The brush head 28 may be ovular. The brush head 28 has a head front side 30, a head back side 32, and a head perimeter 34 defining a head inside 36. The head perimeter 34 is coupled to the handle top end 16. The head front side 30 may have a raised portion 38. A plurality of dispense apertures 40 extends through the raised portion 38 to the head inside 36. The raised portion 38 may have a rounded edge portion 42 for comfort against the user's head. A plurality of bristles 44 is coupled to the brush head 28. The plurality of bristles 44 is coupled to the head front side 30 with each bristle having a spherical tip portion 46.
A bladder 48 is coupled to the brush head 28 within the head inside 36. The bladder 48 is in fluid communication with the plurality of dispense apertures 40. A pump 50 is coupled to the brush handle 12 within the handle reservoir 20 proximal the handle top end 16. The pump 50 has a feed tube 52 extending through the feed aperture 22 to the bladder 48 and a draw tube 54 extending towards the handle bottom end 18. The pump 50 has an actuator button 56 extending through the handle sidewall 14.
In use, the user fills the handle reservoir 20 with liquid hair product and engages the cap 26. He or she then presses the actuator button 56 of the pump to dispense the liquid hair product through the bladder 48 and out the plurality of dispense apertures 40 as hair is brushed with the plurality of bristles 44.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
