Claims
- 1. A soap or lotion dispensing system, comprising:
at least one fluid container containing soap or lotion, the container having an outlet; a first soap or lotion dispenser having a base and an adapter extending down from the base, the adapter having an outlet to feed soap or lotion from the at least one fluid container into the base, a first port and a second port; and at least one delivery tube, the at least one delivery tube coupling, in fluid communication, the outlet of the at least one fluid container to the first port of the adapter.
- 2. The soap or lotion dispensing system of claim 1 further comprising a second soap or lotion dispenser and an outlet tube, wherein the outlet tube extends in fluid communication, from the second port of the adapter to an inlet of the second soap or lotion dispenser.
- 3. The soap or lotion dispensing system of claim 2, wherein the first soap or lotion dispenser includes a manually operable positive displacement pump.
- 4. The soap or lotion dispensing system of claim 3, wherein the first port and the second port open transversely to a pumping axis of the pump.
- 5. The soap or lotion dispensing system of claim 4, wherein one port is located above the other port.
- 6. The soap or lotion dispensing system of claim 5, wherein the adapter is a continuous one-piece part.
- 7. The soap or lotion dispensing system of claim 2, wherein the delivery tube and the outlet tube are flexible tubes.
- 8. The soap or lotion dispensing system of claim 2, wherein the delivery tube includes a first tube and a second tube and further comprising a connecting link adapter having a first portion and a second portion matable to the first portion, wherein the first portion is coupled, in fluid communication, to the first tube, and the second portion is coupled, in fluid communication, to the second tube;
wherein the first portion includes a valve actuated by connecting and disconnecting the first portion to the second portion, so that the liquid flows from the container to the second tube when the first portion is connected to the second portion, and liquid is prevented from flowing from the container, via the first portion, when the first portion is disconnected from the second portion; and wherein the second portion includes a valve that is actuated by connecting and disconnecting the first portion to the second portion, whereby liquid is permitted to flow from the container to the second tube when the first portion is connected to the second portion, and liquid is prevented from flowing out of the second tube, via the second portion, when the first portion is disconnected from the second portion.
- 9. The soap or lotion dispensing system of claim 2, further comprising a conduit strip having opposing ends, a plurality of conduit ridges, and a plurality of conduit channels, the conduit strip connected to the interior surface of the container, one end of the conduit strip adjacent the outlet and the other end of the conduit strip spaced further away from the outlet than the one end.
- 10. The soap or lotion dispensing system of claim 1, wherein the at least one fluid container containing soap or lotion includes
a first collapsible container containing soap or lotion; a second collapsible container containing soap or lotion, the second collapsible container located at an elevation lower than the elevation of the first collapsible container; and the at least one delivery tube coupling, in fluid communication, the first collapsible container to the second collapsible container and the first and second collapsible containers to the first soap or lotion dispenser.
- 11. The soap or lotion dispensing system of claim 10 further comprising a second soap or lotion dispenser and an outlet tube, wherein the outlet tube extends in fluid communication, from the second port of the adapter to an inlet of the second soap or lotion dispenser.
- 12. The soap or lotion dispensing system of claim 11, wherein the first soap or lotion dispenser and the second soap or lotion dispenser each include a manually operable positive displacement pump.
- 13. The soap or lotion dispensing system of claim 12, wherein each port opens transversely to a pumping axis of the pump.
- 14. The soap or lotion dispensing system of claim 13, wherein one port is located above the other port.
- 15. The soap or lotion dispensing system of claim 14, wherein the adapter is a continuous one-piece part.
- 16. The soap or lotion dispensing system of claim 11, wherein the delivery tube and the outlet tube are flexible tubes.
- 17. The soap or lotion dispensing system of claim 10, wherein the delivery tube includes a shutoff tee having a first portion and a second portion matable to the first portion, wherein the first portion is coupled, in fluid communication, to one of the first and second collapsible containers, and the second portion is coupled, in fluid communication, to the first soap or lotion dispenser;
wherein the first portion includes a valve actuated by connecting and disconnecting the first portion to the second portion, so that the liquid flows from the one of the first and second collapsible containers to the first dispenser when the first portion is connected to the second portion, and liquid is prevented from flowing from the one of the first and second collapsible containers, via the first portion, when the first portion is disconnected from the second portion; and wherein the second portion includes a valve that is actuated by connecting and disconnecting the first portion to the second portion, whereby liquid is permitted to flow from the one of the first and second collapsible containers to the first dispenser when the first portion is connected to the second portion, and liquid is prevented from flowing out of the first dispenser, via the second portion, when the first portion is disconnected from the second portion.
- 18. The soap or lotion dispensing system of claim 11, further comprising a conduit strip having opposing ends, a plurality of conduit ridges, and a plurality of conduit channels, the conduit strip connected to the interior surface of one of the first and second collapsible containers, one end of the conduit strip adjacent an outlet of the one of the first and second collapsible containers and the other end of the conduit strip spaced further away from the outlet than the one end.
- 19. The soap or lotion dispensing system of claim 10 wherein the second collapsible container defines an outlet and has a nozzle extending from the outlet.
- 20. The soap or lotion dispensing system of claim 19 wherein the outlet of the second collapsible container opens downwardly through a bottom wall of the second collapsible container.
- 21. The soap or lotion dispensing system of claim 19 wherein the outlet of the second collapsible container is located closer to a bottom wall of the second collapsible container than to a top wall of the second collapsible container when the second collapsible container is full of soap or lotion.
