Claims
- 1. A liquid personal cleansing composition comprising:
(a) a cleansing surfactant comprising:
(i) an acyl sarcosinate; and (ii) an additional cleansing surfactant selected from the group consisting of an anionic surfactant other than the acyl sarcosinate, an amphoteric surfactant, a zwitterionic surfactant, and mixtures thereof; wherein the acyl sarcosinate is contained at a level of from about 40% to about 90% by weight of the total cleansing surfactant, and at a level of from about 4% to about 25% by weight of the composition; and (b) water.
- 2. The liquid personal cleansing composition according to claim 1, wherein the acyl sarcosinate is contained at a level of from about 50% to about 90% by weight of the total cleansing surfactant.
- 3. The liquid personal cleansing composition according to claim 1, wherein the additional cleansing surfactant comprises the anionic surfactant and the amphoteric surfactant.
- 4. The liquid personal cleansing composition according to claim 1, wherein the anionic surfactants other than the acyl sarcosinate is an ethoxylated alkyl sulphate.
- 5. The liquid personal cleansing composition according to claim 1, wherein the anionic surfactant other than the acyl sarcosinate is contained at a level by weight of from about 1% to about 15% by weight of the composition.
- 6. The personal cleansing composition according to claim 1, wherein the amphoteric surfactant is selected from ammonium derivatives of formula [V]:
- 7. The liquid personal cleansing composition according to claim 1, wherein the composition is substantially free of soap.
- 8. The liquid personal cleansing composition according to claim 1 further comprising from about 0.01% to about 5% by weight of a water-insoluble polyalphaolefin oil.
