Claims
- 1. A long-life welding electrode comprising:
a tip section having a form like a curved surface.
- 2. The welding electrode according to claim 1 in which said curved surface has a form of an equipotential surface which is vertical to a line of electric force generated between the welding electrode and a material to be welded.
- 3. The welding electrode according to claim 1 in which said curved surface is a circular curved surface with a diameter in a range from 0.05 mm or more to 0.3 mm or less.
- 4. A long-life welding electrode comprising:
a base material; and at least one oxide selected from a group consisting of lanthana, yttria, and ceria.
- 5. The welding electrode according to claim 4 in which the addition of said oxide is from 1 to 5 wt %.
- 6. The welding electrode according to claim 1 wherein said surface of the welding electrode is in a range from 3 um or more to 10 um or less in terms of Rmax.
- 7. A welding system comprising:
a welding electrode having a tip section with a form like a curved surface; and a welding head for holding said electrode.
- 8. A fixing structure for fixing a welding electrode to a fixing base comprising:
a fixing base having an inserting section, the welding electrode having a fixed section inserted into said inserting section; and thermally conductive material inserted into said inserting section to uniformly contact a peripheral surface of said fixed section of the welding electrode to the fixing base.
- 9. The fixing structure for a welding electrode according to claim 8 in which said welding electrode comprises a tip section having a form like a curved section.
- 10. A fixing structure on a fixing base for a welding electrode, said structure comprising:
said fixing base having several divided portions, the welding electrode held between the divided portions for fixing the welding electrode to the fixing base.
- 11. The fixing structure on a fixing base for a welding electrode according to claim 10 in which a thermally conductive material is provided between the welding electrode and the fixing base.
- 12. The fixing structure on a fixing base for a welding electrode according to claim 10 wherein the welding electrode has a tip section having a curved surface has a form of an equipotential surface which is vertical to a line of electric force generated between the welding electrode and a material to be welded.
- 13. A welding head having a fixing structure for a welding electrode according to claim 8.
- 14. A welding method comprising the steps of:
supplying one of (1) a mixed gas of argon and helium, (2) a mixed gas of helium and hydrogen, or (3) a mixed gas of argon, helium, and hydrogen; and welding in such supplied mixed gas environment.
- 15. The welding method according to claim 14 wherein said supplying step is utilized through a supply tube to which previously has been conducted a chromium oxide passivation treatment.
- 16. The welding method according to claim 15 in which a content of helium of the mixed gas of the supplying step is in the range of 1 to 90%.
