Claims
- 1. A thermal insulation, suitable for application in building spaces by pneumatic means, comprising a multitude of small, uniformly sized, low density pieces of bonded fibers, said fibrous pieces having a generlaly hexahedral configuration and a density of about 0.4 lb/ft.sup.3 to 1.0 lb/ft.sup.3.
- 2. Thermal insulation according to claim 1 wherein said fibrous pieces are approximately 1/4" to 1" in length and width, and 1/64" to 1/4" in thickness.
- 3. Thermal insulation according to claim 1 wherein said fibrous pieces are approximately 1/4" to 5/8" in length, 3/8" to 3/4" in width and 1/32" to 1/4" in thickness.
- 4. Thermal insulation according to claim 3 wherein said fibers are glass fibers and wherein said fibrous pieces contain from 1.0% to 7.0% by weight thermosetting resin.
- 5. Thermal insulation according to claim 3 wherein said fibers are glass fibers and wherein said fibrous pieces contain from 3.0% to 5.0% by weight thermosetting resin.
- 6. Thermal insulation according to claim 4 wherein said fibrous pieces contain from about 0.5% to 1.0% by weight anti-dust oil.
- 7. Thermal insualtion according to claim 6 wherein said fibers have a diameter of from 3.5 microns to 6.0 microns.
