Claims
- 1. A processing lubricant composition comprising a mixture of high and low molecular weight polyethylene glycol fatty acid esters containing a polyethylene glycol fatty acid ester that has a molecular weight in the polyethylene glycol portion above 500 and a polyethylene glycol fatty acid that has a molecular weight in the polyethylene glycol portion below 500.
- 2. The composition according to claim 1 wherein said mixture contains about 1 to 20 weight percent of an antistatic agent.
- 3. The composition according to claim 2 wherein said antistatic agent is a salt of a quaternary ammonium compound.
- 4. The composition according to claim 3 wherein said antistatic agent is 4-ethyl, 4-cetyl, morpholinium ethosulfate.
- 5. The composition according to claim 1 wherein the low molecular weight polyethylene glycol fatty acid ester is polyethylene glycol 400 monolaurate and the high molecular weight polyethylene glycol fatty acid ester is polyethylene glycol 600 monolaurate.
- 6. The composition according to claim 5 wherein said mixture contains at least 40 weight % % polyethylene glycol 400 monolaurate, at least 40 weight polyethylene glycol 600 monolaurate, and up to 10 weight % 4-ethyl, 4-cetyl, morpholinium ethosulfate.
- 7. The composition of claim 6 wherein the composition is in an aqueous solution.
- 8. A processing lubricant composition comprising a mixture of about 1 to 20 weight percent of an antistatic agent and at least one polyethylene glycol monolaurate or monostearate having a sorbitan group.
- 9. The composition according to claim 8 wherein said polyethylene glycol monolaurate or monostearate having a sorbitan group is selected from the group consisting of polyethylene glycol 880 sorbitan monolaurate, polyethylene glycol 880 sorbitan monostearate and mixtures thereof.
- 10. The composition according to claim 2 wherein said antistatic agent is selected from the group consisting of quaternary amines salts, salts of polyoxyethylene and organic fatty alcohol esters, ethosulfate salts of quaternary ammonium compounds and acid salts of quaternary ammonium compounds.
- 11. The composition according to claim 2 wherein said mixture contains a crosslinking agent.
- 12. The composition according to claim 1 wherein said mixture also contains an additive selected from the group consisting of spinning lubricant, polymer, dye chemicals, aroma-enhancing agent, scouring agent, antifungal agent, anti-bacterial agent, defoamer, super-absorbent polymer, fluorescent additive, and antiseptic additive.
- 13. The composition according to claim 7 wherein said aqueous solution contains water and at least one other solvent.
- 14. The composition according to claim 8 wherein said mixture also contains an additive selected from the group consisting of spinning lubricant, polymer, dye chemicals, aroma-enhancing agent, scouring agent, antifungal agent, anti-bacterial agent, defoamer, super-absorbent polymer, fluorescent additive, and antiseptic additive.
- 15. The composition according to claim 8 wherein said mixture is an aqueous solution.
- 16. The composition according to claim 15 wherein said aqueous solution contains water and at least one other solvent.
- 17. The composition according to claim 9 wherein said suitable antistatic agent is 4-ethyl, 4-cetyl, morpholinium ethosulfate.
- 18. The composition according to claim 8 wherein said mixture contains a cross-linking agent.
- 19. The composition according to claim 18 wherein said cross-linking agent is selected from the group consisting of epoxidized polyethers, polyglycidyl ethers, and silicone-based crosslinking agents.
