Claims
- 1. A wireless mobile communication device comprising:
a body casing having an exterior surface; a plurality of light sources (LS) disposed on the exterior surface of the body casing; a machine accessible medium having instructions encoded therein to selectively activate the LS in a spatial movement dependent manner, while the wireless mobile communication device is being spatially moved, to effectuate spatial painting of luminescent images; and a processor coupled to the LS and the machine accessible medium to execute the instructions.
- 2. The wireless mobile communication device of claim 1 further comprising an accelerometer coupled to the processor.
- 3. The wireless mobile communication device of claim 2, wherein the instructions factor changes in acceleration into consideration when activating the plurality of LS in said spatial movement dependent manner.
- 4. The wireless mobile communication device of claim 2, wherein the instructions factor changes in direction into consideration when activating the plurality of LS in said spatial movement dependent manner.
- 5. The wireless mobile communication device of claim 2, wherein the accelerometer comprises a piezoelectric micro-miniature accelerometer.
- 6. The wireless mobile communication device of claim 1, wherein the plurality of LS comprises single color LS.
- 7. The wireless mobile communication device of claim 1, wherein the plurality of LS comprises multi-color LS.
- 8. The wireless mobile communication device of claim 1, wherein the plurality of LS is oriented in one or more linear formations.
- 9. The wireless mobile communication device of claim 8, wherein the plurality of LS is oriented having eight (8) LS forming parallel lines when the wireless mobile communication device is moved in a predetermined manner.
- 10. The wireless mobile communication device of claim of 8, wherein the plurality of LS is oriented having sixteen (16) LS forming eight (8) parallel lines of two LS per line when the wireless mobile communication device is moved in a predetermined manner.
- 11. The wireless mobile communication device of claim 8, wherein the instructions further activate the organized LS in a formation dependent manner.
- 12. The wireless mobile communication device of claim 1, wherein the body casing comprises a first portion and a second portion detachably coupled together.
- 13. The wireless mobile communication device of claim 12, wherein the LS and the instructions to selectively activate the LS are disposed on the same portion.
- 14. The wireless mobile communication device of claim 12, wherein the LS are disposed on the first portion and the instructions to selectively activate the LS are disposed on the second portion.
- 15. The wireless mobile communication device of claim 12, wherein the LS are disposed on the second portion and the instructions to selectively activate the LS are disposed on the first portion.
- 16. The wireless mobile communication device of claim 1, wherein the body casing comprises an inverted configuration with an antenna of the wireless mobile communication device disposed in a downward direction.
- 17. The wireless mobile communication device of claim 16 further comprising a device to augment acceleration of the wireless mobile communication device.
- 18. The wireless mobile communication device of claim 1, wherein the exterior surface is a selected one of a side exterior surface, a top exterior surface, a bottom exterior surface, a front exterior surface, and a back exterior surface.
- 19. The wireless mobile communication device of claim 1, wherein the wireless mobile communication device further comprises a plurality of input keys, and the LS are integrally disposed with the input keys.
- 20. The wireless mobile communication device of claim 1, wherein the plurality of LS comprises eight (8) LS.
- 21. The wireless mobile communication device of claim 1, wherein the plurality of LS comprises nine (9) LS.
- 22. A method comprising:
sensing one or more movement attributes of spatial movement of a wireless mobile communication device; and selectively activating a plurality of light sources (LS) disposed on an exterior surface of a body casing of the wireless mobile communication device, in a spatial movement dependent manner, using the one or more sensed movement attributes to effectuate spatial painting of luminescent images.
- 23. The method of claim 22, wherein sensing comprises sensing changes in direction of said spatial movement of the wireless mobile communication device.
- 24. The method of claim 23, wherein the spatial dependent manner of activating the plurality of LS comprises basing the activation of said LS at least in part on the sensed changes in direction of spatial movement.
- 25. The method of claim 22, wherein the method further comprises generating a selected one of an audio and a visual indicator to guide a user on a speed of movement of the wireless mobile communication device.
- 26. The method of claim 22, wherein the plurality of LS are disposed on the exterior surface, organized into one or more linear formations, and the activation of the LS are further performed in a formation dependent manner.
- 27. The method of claim 22 further comprising augmenting acceleration of the wireless mobile communication device.
- 28. The method of claim 22 further comprising retrieving data corresponding to the luminescent images from a plurality specification of images pre-stored in the wireless mobile communication device.
- 29. The method of claim 22 further comprising receiving data corresponding to the luminescent images from a user of the wireless mobile communication device entering the data corresponding to the luminescent images through input means of the wireless mobile communication device.
- 30. The method of claim 22 further comprising retrieving the luminescent images from a remote computing device.
- 31. An article of manufacture comprising
a machine accessible medium having instructions encoded therein, the instructions, when executed by a wireless mobile communication device having a plurality of light sources (LS) disposed on an exterior surface of a selected one of the article and the wireless mobile communication device, selectively activates the LS in a spatial movement dependent manner, while the wireless mobile communication device is being spatially moved, to effectuate spatial painting of luminescent images.
- 32. The article of claim 31, wherein the article is an interchangeable covering of the wireless mobile communication device.
- 33. The article of claim 32, wherein the interchangeable covering is a selected one of an interchangeable faceplate and an interchangeable cover skin.
- 34. The article of claim 32, wherein the interchangeable covering comprises an interchangeable covering having data to complement the spatial painting of the luminescent images.
- 35. The article of claim 34, wherein the data comprises an audio data.
- 36. The article of claim 31, wherein the wireless mobile communication device receives, via wireless transmission, data to complement the spatial painting of luminescent images.
- 37. The article of claim 36, wherein the data comprises at least one of an audio and a text data.
- 38. The article of claim 31, wherein the plurality of LS comprises eight (8) LS.
- 39. The article of claim 31, wherein the plurality of LS comprises nine (9) LS.
- 40. A method comprising:
retrieving stored data indicative of a luminescent image to be spatially painted in a spatial movement dependent manner utilizing a plurality of light sources (LS) disposed on an exterior surface of a body casing of a wireless mobile communication device, while the wireless mobile communication device is spatially moved; determining timing information for activating and deactivating the plurality of LS based at least in part on the spatial movement of the wireless mobile communication device; and selectively activating and deactivating the plurality of LS in accordance with the determined timing information.
- 41. The method of claim 40, wherein determining of timing information comprises detecting if an accelerometer is present.
- 42. The method of claim 41, wherein determining of the timing information further comprises determining a change in acceleration based on signals received from the accelerometer.
- 43. The method of claim 41, wherein selectively activating and deactivating comprises selectively activating and deactivating the plurality of LS based at least upon changes in said acceleration signal.
