Claims
- 1. Macrocyclic polyamine compound being a member of the group of compounds and mixtures thereof represented by the formulas: ##STR12## where R' is hydrogen or lower C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 alkyl; R is a hydrocarbon substituent having 2 to 15,000 carbon atoms; R" is a hydrocarbon substituent of 4 to 15,000 carbon atoms; Z is --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 --, --(CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 NH).sub.n CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 -- where n is 1-6, or (CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 NH).sub.m CH.sub.2 (CH.sub.2).sub.p (NHCH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2).sub.m' -- where m and m' are each at least 1 and m+m' is 2-5, p is 1-4; and a is 1-20.
- 2. The compound of claim 1 wherein R and R" are independently polyisobutylene of M.sub.n 900 to 2,000 and R' is hydrogen.
- 3. The compound of claim 1 wherein R and R" are independently ethylene propylene copolymer or terpolymer of M.sub.n 10,000 to 200,000.
- 4. The compound of claim 1 wherein Z is --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 -- or --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 (NHCH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2).sub.n wherein n is 1-6.
- 5. The compound of claim 1 where a is 1-8 and R and R" are independently ethylene propylene copolymer or terpolymer of M.sub.n 10,000 to 200,000.
- 6. The compound of claim 1 wherein R and R" are independently styrene isoprene copolymer.
- 7. The compound of claim 6 wherein Z is --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 -- or --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 (NHCH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2).sub.n wherein n is 1-5.
