The invention relates to a magazine for ammunition for weapons, arranged in four rows of ammunition, designed for automatic submission of ammunition in automatic and semi-automatic weapons. It can be used in the military industry.
There is a noted magazine for automatic weapons “Suomi” with four-row disposal of ammunition in the magazine. At its upper end the body of the magazine ends in a form that facilitates the passage of the cartridges from the four lines in one row. The disadvantage of this magazine is that the ammunition goes out only in a row, which makes it unsuitable for modern automatic weapons.
Known is also a magazine for submission of ammunition comprising a housing with a feed device, pushed by a spring snap on the bottom of the housing. The supply box has a volume allowing multilayer loading of ammunition. At its upper end on the walls of the housing there are fixed spacers with rhomboid shape, forcing the ammunition arranging in two rows by pushing it into the upper end of the magazine. Another noted magazine for an automatic weapon can store ammunition in four rows, and comprise a housing, the upper end of which is narrowed to reduce the ammunition in two rows. The inner walls of the housing are flat. In the housing is placed a feeder mechanism which moves freely between the walls of the housing using a main and an auxiliary spring, restrained between the feeder mechanism and the bottom of the magazine, and the leading of this feeder mechanism within the housing is effected by two guide plates freely located in it. It consists of two parts—top and bottom feeders. In the body of the lower feeders is situated a cylinder with a hole. In the body of the upper feeders is shaped a cylinder which enters into this hole. Between the lower and upper feeders is also restrained a spring and a flat plate bent in an arc is placed too. Both parts of the feeder mechanism are leading by this plate interposed between the top and bottom feeders. Furthermore, the second spring in the magazine, which is in immediate contact with the bottom feeders and ends with tapered cup of metal which also contributes to keeping the feeder mechanism into the housing. The device works as follows: the ammunitions are arranged in the housing through the upper feeders by first shrinking the spring between the lower and upper feeders. Following the reduction of this spring, bottom feeders begin to shrink the main spring and the ammunitions pass in four lines in the enlarged part of the housing. By launching the movement is backwards.
A disadvantage of this magazine is the leading of the feeder mechanism in the magazine housing and the leading between the two parts of the feeder mechanism—to each other, the top to the bottom feeders. By using they can stick because of the unreliable leading and the gun jams. Another weakness of this magazine is more the difficult disassembling and assembling, when it is necessary to implement maintenance for the weapon because of the majority of springs which give a solid resistance when performing these operations.
The object of the invention is to provide a magazine for ammunition for automatic and semi-automatic weapons, which ensures a secure guidance of the two-feeder mechanism in the body of the housing and a secure guidance between the two conducting parts (feeder)—to one another, the upper feeders to the bottom feeders.
The present invention is determined by a magazine for ammunition for automatic weapons, arranged in four rows, comprising: a housing, the upper end of which is narrowed to reduce ammunition from four into two rows. The front and rear walls of the housing are formed in arc with a certain radiuses, which are concentric. Between the front and rear walls of the housing into its interior space, in the form of concentric arcs of the adjacent sides, are attached a front and a rear rib, which are located in the same plane. A telescopic feeder mechanism is placed in the housing, whose leading accomplishes on the front and rear rib and on the rear wall of the housing. This telescopic feeder mechanism is composed of two parts—a base and a top feeder. At their rear parts the bodies of the base and the top feeder are finished with arched surfaces concentric with the rear wall's arc of the magazine, respectively with the rear rib. By moving between the base and the top feeder, the leading is fulfilled on these arched surfaces. On the outer side of the arched surface of the top feeder is located a convex arc, in which is carved a groove. Into this groove gets the rear rib of the rear wall. This groove is concentric to the radius of the rear rib. The arched surface of the base is constructed in the form of a wide groove whose width is equal to the width of the arched surface of the top feeder, which is housed in the base and the ends of the groove are formed as a rib, also concentric with each other and with the rear wall. All arcs of contacting parts are also concentric to the radius of the rear rib, respectively, the rear wall of the body. In the middle of their front parts, the base and the top feeder are cut by grooves on which the telescopic feeder mechanism is leaded to the front rib of the front wall of the housing. All arched surfaces at the rear and at the front wall of the housing and these of the telescopic feeder mechanism are concentric.
A spring is implemented in the housing. The spring is fixed at its lower end, and at the top it is fixed to the telescopic feeder mechanism. Between the base and the top feeder is also restrained a spring.
The advantage of the invention consists in the creation of concentric ribs on the front and the rear wall of the magazine, disposed in the same plane and located at the front and at the rear inner surfaces of the housing, in which the telescopic feeder mechanism is leaded. The two parts of this mechanism contain mutually leading to each other and together to the ribs on the all surfaces, described by concentric arcs. So the described magazine allows flawlessly removing of the ammunition during firing without a hitch. The use is easy and hassle-free.
This is a magazine for ammunition for semi-automatic and automatic weapons like AK47s, AK 74 AR-15 M-16 caliber 7,62×39; 5,45×39 and 5,56×45. The magazine comprises: a housing (1) composed of two flat walls which are sealed by two concentric to each other walls—a front wall (2) and a rear wall (3). On the inner side of the front and the rear walls (2) and (3), concentric to them, are situated a front rib (4) and a rear rib (5). Between the ribs (4) and (5) is set a telescopic feeder mechanism (6). This telescopic feeder mechanism (6) is composed of a base (7) and a top feeder (8). In the back of the base (7) and the top feeder (8) are shaped arched surfaces (7′) and (8′), which are concentric with the rear rib (5). Along the arched surface (8′) is wrought a groove (9), concentric of the rear rib (5), respectively of the rear wall (3). On the arched surface (7′) is formed a groove (10) with a width equal to the width of the arched surface (8′), which is contained in this groove. It (10) ends at the both sides with a rib (10′). The rear rib (5) enters the groove (9). The arced surface (8′) is located in the groove (10). On their fronts, the base (7) and the top feeder (8) are cut by grooves (11) and (12). Between the telescopic feeder mechanism (6) and the bottom of the housing (1) is fixed a spring (13) and between the base (7) and the top feeder (8)—another spring (14).
The magazine acts as follows: The ammunition is arranged in the housing (1) through the top feeder (8), so each new cartridge pushes the previous to the bottom, in which a spring (14) is shrinking. By this action the arched surface (8′) is leaded through the groove (10). In this moment the ammunitions are arranged two in a row. When the top feeder (8) touches the base (7), a spring (13) begins to shrink and the telescopic feeder mechanism (6) moves on the concentric trajectories of the arcs of the front rib (4) through grooves (11) and (12), through a rib (10′) contacting on the rear wall (3), and through a groove (9), which is moving along the rear rib (5). All these parts serve as guides. The telescopic feeder mechanism (6) is moving to the bottom of the housing (1) and the ammunitions therein are already arranged in the four rows, up to the complete filling of the magazine with 60 to 100 cartridges, depending on the caliber.
In the reverse order, the movement of the telescopic feeder mechanism (6) in the housing (1) is performed on the front and the rear rib (4) and (5). At their front parts to the wall (2), the base (7) and the top feeder (8) are moving on the front rib (4) via grooves (11) and (12). At its rear side the telescopic feeder mechanism (6) contacts to the wall (3) through a rib (10′) and in the rear rib (5) through the groove (9), cut into the top feeder (8). During its moving upward the telescopic feeder mechanism (6) describes again a trajectory on arc, concentric with the arc of the rear rib (5), respectively to the rear wall (3).
This magazine can be used for assembling of automatic and semi-automatic weapons such as AK47s, AK 74 AR-15 M-16, with gauges 7,62×39; 5,45×39 and 5,56×45.
