Claims
- 1. An alloy for use in removing impurities from molten lead, said alloy consisting essentially of magnesium and calcium having a ratio of magnesium to calcium ranging from about 1.2:1 to about 3.0:1 on a weight basis, said magnesium and calcium being present in said alloy in an amount of at least about 85% by weight, said calcium being present in an amount of about 25 to 45% by weight.
- 2. An alloy according to claim 1, wherein said ratio of magnesium to calcium is about 1.85:1 about 3.0:1 on a weight basis.
