Claims
- 1. A hydrogen storage material consisting essentially of a mechanical alloy of 80 to 95 atomic percent of magnesium and the remainder consisting essentially of nickel and molybdenum, wherein said mechanical alloy comprises a multi-phase material.
- 2. The hydrogen storage material of claim 1, wherein said mechanical alloy includes at least one amorphous phase.
- 3. The hydrogen storage material of claim 1, wherein said nickel comprises from 5 to 15 at. % of the mechanical alloy.
- 4. The hydrogen storage material of claim 1, wherein said molybdenum comprises from 0.5 to 5 at. % of the mechanical alloy.
- 5. The hydrogen storage material of claim 2, wherein said nickel comprises from 5 to 15 at. % of the mechanical alloy.
- 6. The hydrogen storage material of claim 2, wherein said molybdenum comprises from 0.5 to 5 at. % of the mechanical alloy.
