Claims
- 1. A magnetic bubble memory comprising:
- at least one magnetic bubble memory chip for storing information;
- means for applying a rotating magnetic field to said at least one magnetic bubble memory chip;
- a rectangular conducting case means for containing said at least one magnetic bubble memory chip therein and for confining the rotating magnetic field therein, said rectangular conducting case means having side portions and openings at the four corner thereof;
- a flexible interconnection film having a plurality of inner terminals electrically connected to said at least one magnetic bubble memory chip, said flexible interconnection film having portions with wiring conductors thereon extending outwardly from said case means at the four corners thereof, a plurality of outer terminals being provided on said flexible interconnection film and arrayed on said flexible interconnection film at opposing sides of said case means, said wiring conductors at one side of said case means extending outwardly from the two corners at said one side of said case means for electrical connection with the outer terminals at said one side off said case means, and said wiring conductors at an opposing side of said case means extending outwardly from the two corners at the opposing side of said case means and being electrically connected with the outer terminals arrayed at the opposing side of said case means; and
- an interconnection substrate having first and second bonding terminal groups arrayed at opposite sides thereof and electrically connected with the correspondingly arrayed outer terminals of said flexible interconnection film, a plurality of external terminals being arrayed between said first and second bonding terminal groups, and a plurality of interconnection conductors electrically connecting said bonding terminal groups to said external terminals.
- 2. A magnetic bubble memory according to claim 1, wherein said means for applying a rotating magnetic field includes a picture frame core having coil members wound thereon.
- 3. A magnetic bubble memory according to claim 1, wherein said case means includes at least one electrically conductive nonmagnetic case member.
- 4. A magnetic bubble memory according to claim 1, wherein said flexible interconnection film has a greater flexibility than said interconnecting substrate.
- 5. A magnetic bubble memory according to claim 4, wherein said interconnection substrate is a ceramic substrate.
- 6. A magnetic bubble memory according to claim 1, wherein said means for applying a rotating magnetic field includes coil means, and said conducting case means contain said coil means therein, said conducting case means including at least one electrically conductive non-magnetic case member.
- 7. A magnetic bubble memory comprising:
- at least one magnetic bubble memory chip for storing information:
- means for applying a rotating magnetic field to said at least one chip, said rotating magnetic field applying means including coil means;
- conducting case means for confining the rotating magnetic field therein and for containing said at least one chip and said coil means therein, said case means having at least one opening;
- a flexible interconnection film having a plurality of wires thereon, said wires being electrically connected with said at least one chip and extending outwardly from said case means through said at least one opening;
- an interconnection substrate having first and second bonding terminal groups arrayed at opposite sides thereof and electrically connected with terminals of said flexible interconnection film, a plurality of external terminals being arrayed between said first and second bonding terminals groups, and a plurality of interconnection conductors electrically connecting said bonding terminal groups to said external terminals; and said coil means including a portion extending outwardly from said case means through said at least one opening.
- 8. A magnetic bubble memory according to claim 7, wherein said means for applying a rotating magnetic field includes a picture frame core having said coil means wound thereon.
- 9. A magnetic bubble memory according to claim 7, wherein said case means includes at least one electrically conductive nonmagnetic case member.
- 10. A magnetic bubble memory according to claim 7, wherein said flexible interconnection film has a greater flexibility than said interconnecting substrate.
- 11. A magnetic bubble memory according to claim 10, wherein said interconnecting substrate is a ceramic substrate.
- 12. A magnetic bubble memory comprising:
- at least one magnetic bubble memory chip for storing information;
- means for applying a rotating magnetic field to said at least one chip;
- a conducting case means for containing said at least one chip therein and for confining the rotating magnetic field therein;
- a flexible interconnection film having a plurality of wires thereon electrically connected to said at least one chip, and a plurality of outer terminals arrayed at opposite side portions of said flexible interconnection film and electrically connected with said at least one chip through said wires; and
- an interconnection substrate having first and second bonding terminal groups arrayed at opposite sides thereof and electrically connected with the correspondingly arrayed outer terminals of said flexible interconnection film, a plurality of external terminals being arrayed between said first and second bonding terminal groups, and a plurality of interconnection conductors electrically connecting said bonding terminal groups to said external terminals.
- 13. A magnetic bubble memory according to claim 12, wherein said means for applying a rotating magnetic field includes a picture frame core having coil members wound thereon.
- 14. A magnetic bubble memory according to claim 12, wherein said flexible interconnection film has a greater flexibility than said interconnecting substrate.
- 15. A magnetic bubble memory according to claim 14, wherein said interconnection substrate is a ceramic substrate.
