Claims
- 1. An magnetic data-storage card comprising:an magnetic data-storage media layer adhering on said card; and said data-storage media layer includes at least a data storage track comprising at least an arc-segment for storing data therein wherein said data storage track comprising a servo sector provided for identifying track locations to enhance sector seeking by a rotating single magnetic pickup head coordinated with an X-Y table moving said data-storage card driven by a stepping motor.
- 2. The magnetic data storage card of claim 1 wherein:said data-storage track includes at least two arc-segments wherein one of said segments includes a servo sector.
- 3. The magnetic data storage card of claim 1 wherein:said data-storage media layer includes a plurality of data storage tracks and each of said tracks comprising at least an arc segment having a servo-data sector.
- 4. The magnetic data storage card of claim 3 wherein:each of said plurality of data storage tracks being substantially parallel to a neighboring track with said servo sector disposed on substantially same relative position on said data storage tracks.
- 5. The magnetic data storage card of claim 3 wherein:each of said plurality of data storage tracks comprising a plurality of arc segments each having a servo-sector.
- 6. The magnetic data storage card of claim 1 wherein:said data storage track comprising a circular arc segment comprising a plurality of servo sectors.
- 7. The magnetic data storage card of claim 1 wherein:said data storage track comprising a plurality of circular arc segments each comprising a plurality of servo sectors.
- 8. The magnetic data storage card of claim 5 wherein:each of said plurality of data storage tracks comprising a same number of arc segments each having a servo sector.
- 9. The magnetic data storage card of claim 5 wherein:at least two of said plurality of data storage tracks comprising a different numbers of arc segments each having a servo sector.
- 10. An magnetic data storage card comprising:an magnetic data-storage media layer adhering on said card; and said data-storage media layer includes a plurality of data storage tracks and each of said tracks comprising at least an arc-segment for storing data therein; said plurality of data storage tracks further comprising at least a first and a second parallel-data-storage-track sets with each of said data-storage tracks substantially parallel to a neighboring track in said first and said second parallel-data-storage-track sets, and said data storage tracks in said first parallel-data-storage-track set are not in parallel to said data storage tracks in said second parallel-data-storage-track set.
- 11. The magnetic data storage card of claim 10 wherein:at least one of said plurality of data storage tracks comprising at least two arc-segments each having a servo sector.
- 12. The magnetic data storage card of claim 1 wherein:said magnetic data-storage media layer further comprising at least two magnetic media layers for disposing said servo sector thereon.
- 13. The magnetic data storage card of claim 1 wherein:said magnetic data-storage media layer further comprising multiple substrate layers for disposing said servo sector thereon.
- 14. The magnetic data storage card of claim 3 wherein:each of said data-storage tracks is substantially of a same track length each having said servo sector of substantially of a same servo sector length.
- 15. The magnetic data storage card of claim 3 wherein:at least two of said data-storage tracks are substantially of a different track lengths each containing different numbers of servo sectors.
- 16. The magnetic data storage card of claim 5 wherein:each of said arc-segments is substantially of a same segment length each containing same number of servo sectors.
- 17. The magnetic data storage card of claim 5 wherein:at least two of said arc-segments are substantially of a different segment lengths each containing a servo sector of different lengths.
- 18. The magnetic data-storage card of claim 1 wherein:said data-storage track further storing servo control data stored in said servo sector.
- 19. The magnetic data storage card of claim 3 wherein:said data-storage tracks further storing servo-control data in said servo sector at a substantially same relative position on said data-storage tracks.
- 20. The magnetic data storage card of claim 18 wherein:said data-storage tracks further storing said servo-control data in said servo sector near edges of said data-storage card on said data-storage tracks.
- 21. The magnetic data storage card of claim 5 wherein:said data-storage tracks further storing servo-control data in said servo sector in at least two of said arc-segments.
- 22. The magnetic data storage card of claim 1 wherein:said data-storage track is substantially an arc-segment of a fixed radius.
- 23. The magnetic data storage card of claim 22 wherein:said data-storage track is substantially an arc-segment of different radiuses.
- 24. The magnetic data storage card of claim 1 wherein:said data-storage track is substantially a semicircular arc-segment comprising said servo sector.
- 25. The magnetic data storage card of claim 24 wherein:said data-storage track is substantially a semicircular arc-segment comprising said servo sector extending over an arc angle less than one-hundred-and-eighty degrees.
- 26. The magnetic data storage card of claim 24 wherein:said data-storage track is substantially a semicircular arc-segment comprising said servo sector extending over an arc angle greater than one-hundred-and-eighty degrees.
- 27. The magnetic data storage card of claim 1 wherein:said data-storage track is substantially an arc-segment comprising said servo sector with a radius less than a half-width of said data storage card.
- 28. The magnetic data storage card of claim 1 wherein:said data-storage track is substantially an arc-segment comprising said servo sector with a radius greater than a half-width of said data storage card.
- 29. The magnetic data storage card of claim 1 further comprising:self-positioning guiding means for guiding said card to a loading position when inserted into a data card drive device comprising said single magnetic pickup head.
- 30. The magnetic data storage card of claim 1 wherein:said magnetic data storage card having a firs side and a second side and said data-storage tracks each comprising said servo sector are disposed on said first and second sides.
- 31. The magnetic data storage card of claim 1 further comprising:a card jacket for storing said data storage card provided with data tracks containing said servo sector.
- 32. The magnetic data storage card of claim 1 wherein:said data-storage track includes at least an arc-segment comprising said servo sector extending over an arc angle of three-hundred-and-sixty degrees.
- 33. The magnetic data storage card of claim 1 wherein:said data-storage track includes at least two arc-segments each comprising said servo sector extending over an arc angle of three-hundred-and-sixty degrees.
- 34. The magnetic data storage card of claim 1 wherein:said data-storage track includes at least a data bit stored in said servo sector.
- 35. The magnetic data storage card of claim 34 wherein:said data bit is a prerecorded data bit written by a servo writer on said servo sector.
- 36. The magnetic data storage card of claim 34 wherein:said data bit is a changeable data bit by said servo writer.
- 37. The magnetic data storage card of claim 34 wherein:said data bit is a readable data bit for providing a servo control data in said servo sector.
- 38. The magnetic data storage card of claim 34 wherein:said data storage track further include data bits stored in said servo sector related to a system configuration.
- 39. The magnetic data storage card of claim 38 wherein:said system configuration can be changed by changing said data bits stored in said servo sector.
- 40. The magnetic data storage card of claim 38 wherein:said system configuration can be retrieved by reading said data bits employing said single magnetic pickup head.
