Claims
- 1. A perpendicular recording medium comprising:
a substrate, a perpendicular magnetization film, at least one underlayer formed between the substrate and the perpendicular magnetization film, and a soft magnetization film formed on said perpendicular magnetization film, wherein a thickness of the soft magnetization film is less than a thickness of the perpendicular magnetization film, and a total thickness of said soft magnetization film and the perpendicular magnetization film is within a range of 7 nm to 100 nm.
- 2. The perpendicular recording medium according to claim 1, wherein said soft magnetization film includes a material selected from the group consisting of permalloy, CoNiZr, FeSi, FeAlSi and CoNbZr.
- 3. A perpendicular recording medium comprising:
a substrate, a first perpendicular magnetization film consisting of a Co alloy, at least one underlayer formed between the substrate and the perpendicular magnetization film, and a multi-layered second perpendicular magnetization film formed on the perpendicular film.
- 4. The perpendicular recording medium according to claim 3, wherein a magnetic anisotropy energy of said multi-layered second perpendicular magnetization film is greater than a magnetic anisotropy energy of said first perpendicular magnetization film.
- 5. The perpendicular recording medium according to claim 3, wherein a total thickness of said first perpendicular magnetization film and said multi-layered second perpendicular magnetization film is within a range of 7 nm to 100 nm.
- 6. The perpendicular recording medium according to claim 3, wherein an exchange coupling force in a longitudinal direction of said multi-layered second perpendicular film is greater than that of said first perpendicular magnetization film.
- 7. The perpendicular recording medium according to claim 3, wherein said multi-layered second perpendicular magnetization film is a Co alloy/Pt multi-layer or a Co alloy/Pd multi-layer.
