Claims
- 1. A magnetic recording medium comprising a magnetic metallic thin film on at least one side of a non-magnetic support, wherein a layer containing an organic fluorine compound and a rust preventive is formed on said magnetic metallic thin film, wherein the organic fluorine compound is given by the following general formula (1): ##STR63## wherein Rf.sup.1 and Rf.sup.2 each represents CF.sub.3 CF.sub.2 (CF.sub.2).sub.n (CH.sub.2).sub.m -- or (CF.sub.3).sub.2 CF(CF.sub.2).sub.n (CH.sub.2).sub.m -- respectively and may be different or the same, and n is a number from 1 to 10, m is a number from 1 to 20, and n+m is a number from 6 to 30;
- y.sup.1 and Y.sup.2 each represents --O--, --OCO--, --COO--, --NHCO--or --CONH-- and may be different or the same;
- R.sup.1 represents .dbd.CH.sub.2, .dbd.CH(CH.sub.2).sub.k CH.sub.3 or .dbd.CHCH.dbd.CH.sub.2, and k is a number from 0 to 2;
- R.sup.2 represents H, and R.sup.2 is not present when the carbon atom to which R.sup.2 is bonded has a double bond;
- R.sup.3 represents H;
- A and B each represents (CH.sub.2).sub.k, where k is a number from 0 to 2, and a is a number of 1 or 2;
- Rf.sup.1, Rf.sup.2, Y.sup.1, Y.sup.2, R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, k, n and m may be the same or different, and they may be either cis type or trans type, and wherein the rust preventive comprises a tetrazaindene cyclic compound represented by the following formula: ##STR64## wherein R represents a C.sub.3 to C.sub.26 hydrocarbon group selected from an alkyl group, an alkoxyl group, or an alkylamide group, and hydrogen atoms may be substituted by fluorine atoms, or a thiouracil cyclic compound represented by the following formula: ##STR65## wherein R represents a hydrocarbon group having 3 carbon atoms, and hydrogen atoms may be substituted by fluorine atoms.
- 2. A magnetic recording medium according to claim 1, wherein said magnetic metallic thin film is a ferromagnetic metallic thin film.
- 3. A magnetic recording medium according to claim 1, wherein the rust prevention comprises the tetrazaindene cyclic compound and R in the tetrazaindene cyclic compound is selected from the group consisting of C.sub.6 H.sub.13 --, C.sub.9 H.sub.19 --, C.sub.6 H.sub.13 OCOCH.sub.2 --, C.sub.3 H.sub.7 OCOCH.sub.2 --, C.sub.17 H.sub.35 --, ##STR66##
- 4. A magnetic recording medium according to claim 1, wherein the rust preventive comprises the thiouracil compound and R in the thiouracil cyclic compound is C.sub.3 H.sub.7 --.
