1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates generally to a dartboard and more particularly, to a magnetic type electronic dartboard.
2. Description of the Related Art
A conventional electronic dartboard, as shown in
The present invention has been accomplished under the circumstances in view. It is the main object of the present invention to a magnetic type electronic dartboard, which can be used with a dart that is not magnetized. To achieve this and other objects of the present invention, the magnetic type electronic dartboard comprises a dartboard body at which darts are thrown, a plurality of windings respectively mounted in a respective block at the dartboard, and a magnetic zone provided at the back side of the dartboard body and providing a constant magnetic field.
Referring to
A magnetic zone 13 is provided at the back side of the body 10. The magnetic zone 13 can be formed of one single piece of magnet covered on the back side of the body 10 or a number of magnets respectively fastened to the blocks 11 at the back side, producing a constant magnetic field at the body 10.
As indicated above, the magnetic zone 13 is provided at the back side of the body 10, producing a constant magnetic field at the body 10. The windings 12 of the blocks 11 are within the fixed magnetic field. When the ferrous (steel, iron, or their alloy) point of the dart is inserted into the body 10, the constant magnetic field is caused to change the magnetic flux, and the winding 12 at the respective block 11 is induced to produce a corresponding induction current, which is then converted by the processor into a digital value, and therefore the scoring is counted.
According to the present invention, the magnetic type electronic dartboard can be used with any of a variety of conventional darts that have a point made of steel, iron, or their alloy without magnetization.
Although a particular embodiment of the invention has been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Accordingly, the invention is not to be limited except as by the appended claims.
