Abstract
A hockey playing table includes a main body, a panel mounted on the main body, a magnetic board mounted on the panel, a disk movably mounted on the magnetic board, and a circular magnetic plate mounted on a bottom of the disk and rested on the magnetic board. Thus, the disk is floating on the magnetic board during movement by the repulsive force between the magnetic plate and the magnetic board, so that the disk is moved on the magnetic board easily and conveniently, thereby facilitating the player playing the hockey game.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to, a hockey playing table, and more particularly to a magnetically floating hockey playing table.

2. Description of the Related Art

A conventional hockey playing table comprises a main body, a panel mounted on the main body and formed with a plurality of through holes, a disk movably mounted on the panel, and a fan mounted in the main body to eject an air stream outward through the through holes of the panel to support the disk, so that the disk is floating on the panel during movement. However, the conventional hockey playing table has a complicated construction, thereby increasing the costs of fabrication and causing inconvenience in assembly and maintenance.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a magnetically floating hockey playing table.

Another objective of the present invention is to provide a hockey playing table, wherein the disk is floating on the magnetic board during movement by the repulsive force between the magnetic plate and the magnetic board, so that the disk is moved on the magnetic board easily and conveniently, thereby facilitating the players playing the hockey game.

A further objective of the present invention is to provide a hockey playing table having a simplified construction, thereby decreasing the costs of fabrication.

In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a hockey playing table, comprising:

    • a main body;
    • a panel mounted on the main body;
    • a magnetic board mounted on the panel;
    • a disk movably mounted on the magnetic board; and
    • a circular magnetic plate mounted on a bottom of the disk and rested on the magnetic board.

In accordance with another embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a hockey playing table, comprising:

    • a main body;
    • a panel mounted on the main body;
    • a plurality of magnetic blocks each mounted on a top face of the panel;
    • a disk movably mounted on the panel; and
    • a magnetic plate mounted on a bottom of the disk and rested on the magnetic blocks.

Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a hockey playing table in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 2 is a perspective assembly view of the hockey playing table in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 2A is a partially enlarged view of a disk of the hockey playing table as shown in FIG. 2;

FIG. 3 is a partially plan cross-sectional view of the hockey playing table as shown in FIG. 2;

FIG. 4 is a perspective assembly view of the hockey playing table in accordance with another embodiment of the present invention; and

FIG. 5 is a partially plan cross-sectional view of the hockey playing table as shown in FIG. 4.

Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1-3, a hockey playing table 1 in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a main body 10, a panel 20 mounted on the main body 10, a magnetic board 40 mounted on the panel 20, a loop-shaped boundary frame 30 mounted on a periphery of the main body 10, a disk 50 movably mounted on the magnetic board 40, and a circular magnetic plate 51 mounted on a bottom of the disk 50 and rested on the magnetic board 40.

As shown in FIG. 3, the magnetic plate 51 has a contact face having a polarity the same as that of a contact face of the magnetic board 40, so that the magnetic plate 51 produces a repulsive force to the magnetic board 40 when the disk 50 and the magnetic plate 51 are rested on the magnetic board 40. Thus, the disk 50 is floating on the magnetic board 40 during movement by the repulsive force between the magnetic plate 51 and the magnetic board 40, so that the disk 50 is moved on the magnetic board 40 easily and conveniently, thereby facilitating the players playing the hockey game.

Referring to FIGS. 4 and 5, a hockey playing table 1A in accordance with another embodiment of the present invention comprises a main body 10, a panel-20 mounted on the main body 10, a plurality of magnetic blocks 41 each mounted on a top face of the panel 20, a loop-shaped boundary frame 30 mounted on a periphery of the main body 10, a disk 50 movably mounted on the panel 20, and a circular magnetic plate 51 mounted on a bottom of the disk 50 and rested on the magnetic blocks 41. Preferably, the top face of the panel 20 is formed with a plurality of receiving recesses 22 to receive the magnetic blocks 41.

As shown in FIG. 5, the magnetic plate 51 has a contact face having a polarity the same as that of a contact face of each of the magnetic blocks 41, so that the magnetic plate 51 produces a repulsive force to the magnetic blocks 41 when the disk 50 and the magnetic plate 51 are rested on the magnetic blocks 41. Thus, the disk 50 is floating on the panel 20 during movement by the repulsive force between the magnetic plate 51 and the magnetic blocks 41, so that the disk 50 is moved on the panel 20 easily and conveniently, thereby facilitating the players playing the hockey game.

Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.
