Claims
- 1. A display console for an exercise machine comprising a housing, the housing defining an opening, a display electronics assembly having an outer perimeter that generally corresponds to said opening, said electronics assembly comprising a keypad panel, a display panel and an electronics panel, said keypad panel and said display panel abutting each other, said electronics panel being spaced from said keypad panel and said display panel by standoffs, a plurality of fasteners securing said display electronics assembly within said opening, and said electronics panel comprising connectors that are adapted to place said display electronics assembly in electrical communication with a power supply and a controller.
- 2. The console of claim 1, wherein said housing comprises a front panel and a rear panel that are secured together and said front panel defining said opening.
- 3. The console of claim 2, wherein said plurality of fasteners extend through at least a portion of said rear panel.
- 4. The console of claim 3, wherein said keypad panel overlies at least a portion of said display panel.
- 5. The console of claim 1, wherein said connectors extend rearward from said electronics panel.
- 6. The console of claim 1, wherein said electronics panel is set off from said keypad panel and said electronics panel by a first set of standoffs and said keypad panel and said electronics panel is set off from said rear panel by a second set of standoffs.
- 7. The console of claim 1, wherein said plurality of fasteners comprise threaded fasteners.
- 8. A method of removing and replacing a display of an exercise machine, said method comprising removing at least one threaded fastener from a rear surface of a console, sliding said display forward from a front surface of said console, disconnecting at least one electrical wire from an electrical socket disposed on said display, removing said display from said exercise machine, supplying a replacement display, connecting said wire to an electrical socket disposed on said replacement display, sliding said replacement display rearward toward said front surface of said console and replacing said at least one threaded fastener in said rear surface of said console.
