31 parts of The Ab-Gown
The Mammo-gown is a medical gown which patient can wear during mammogram examination, as well as other kinds of chest examination and treatments and female patients can wear the mommo-gown for breast feeding. Male patients can wear the Mammo-gown as well; it can be worn by male patients for various kinds of treatment and examination on the chest area.
There is a flap in the front of the gown which is pulled up during examination, treatment and breastfeeding, the rest of the Mammo-gown covers the body nicely.
Bedridden patients in a hospital or nursing home setting do not need to pull the Mammo-gown up for examination or treatment they simply open the flap in front of the gown.
In a clinical setting, during mammogram examination, and other types of chest examination and treatments, female and male patients especially female patients are asked to wear a regular medical gown which has an opening in the front or back and is opened from top to bottom. Sitting in a cold waiting room until the examiner is ready to see them and having most Parts of body exposed is very uncomfortable, embarrassing and conducive to catching colds.
The examiner wants to examine or treat the chest area during examination and treatment, but patient have to be exposed when wearing the regular hospital gowns; this is embarrassing and uncomfortable for patients. After delivering a baby the mother wants to feed her baby, with the regular hospital gowns this is uncomfortable and embarrassing due to the nature of the regular open gowns.
Patients in a hospital/clinical settings are usually under a lot of stress anyhow and they feel impatient and vulnerable which adds to their stress; fiddling around with a normal medical gown to keep themselves warm or keep their body covered is an undue stress they do not need.
5. The object of the Mammo-gown's invention is to decrease patients stress because patient in a hospital/clinical settings are usually under a lot of stress anyhow and they feel impatient and vulnerable which adds to their stress; fiddling around with a normal medical gown to keep themselves warm or keep their body covered is an undue stress they do not need.
The Mammo, Spinal and Ab-gown come in different sizes and colors.
(C) the flap itself may be comprised of either one segment covering both Breasts/chest area or two overlapping segments, each segment covering one breast/half of the chest. The flap is attached to the gown on top,
Patients wear a medical gown during mammogram examination.
The existing problems with regular gowns are that they open only in the back or front for any kind of examination or treatment, patient is body is exposed during examination or treatment from top to bottom. This situation is embarrassing for patients and most of the time patients feel cold and uncomfortable during treatment and or examination.
During mammogram examinations, the patient is asked to wear a regular gown (the existing regular hospital gowns that are out there) which is completely open in the front. The patient is asked to wait in the waiting room until they are called.
Normally waiting rooms whether in a hospital or clinical settings are cold for most female and male patients. This causes several issues, one is that the patient feels cold and becomes susceptible to catching a cold during this waiting period. Secondly, while sitting in this waiting area the opened front exposes the female patient legs and underwear since the gowns open in the front and do not overlap properly, thirdly while the mammogram examination is performed the patient is asked to expose first one breast by pulling the regular gown off from one side followed by the other side. This is both time consuming for the examiner and embarrassing and uncomfortable for the patient since she is constantly exposed and might get cold. Since the examiner is clothed, he/she does not understand patients feeling of being cold or embarrassed. Also, the patient will be cold due to the nature of this type of examination; for mammogram examination the examiner uses a cold gel on the patient's skin, this can cause patients to become even colder.
All of the above causes create a very uncomfortable situation for the patient.
The advantage of the Mammo-gown is that:
The patients feel more modest and comfortable wearing the Mammo-gown compared to a regular gown since only the necessary body part will be exposed when the patient is ready for the examination or treatment. The patients feel warm while waiting for the examiner and while being examined or treated.
It saves the patient and the examiner valuable time since only the front flap of the gown needs to be lifted up versus the whole gown needing to come on and off in the case of a regular gown.
Also, breastfeeding mothers in a hospital setting can breastfeed their infants comfortably, modestly while keeping warm. This is healthier for the mother and the infant, since the patient does not need to pull the possibly contaminated or dirtied gown over her breast to expose the breast for breast feeding. Whereas the Mammo-gown has only one flap over the chest that needs to be pulled over the chest to expose the breast for breastfeeding which prevents infection in the nipple region of the breastfeeding mother? Patients in a hospital/clinical settings are usually under a lot of stress anyhow and they feel impatient and vulnerable which adds to their stress; fiddling around with a normal medical gown to keep themselves warm or keep their body covered is an undue stress they do not need.
Appendix I, FIG. A shows a front and back view of the examination gown of the present invention.
Appendix II, FIG. B shows a front and back view of the examination gown of the present invention.
The spinal-gown is a medical gown which patients can wear during spinal, back and back chest examination and treatment such as epidural, chest thoracocntesis.
The spinal-gown opens in the front which overlaps each other in the front to cover the patients body completely.
There is a flap in the back of the gown which is pulled up during examination and treatment, the rest of the spinal-gown covers the body nicely.
The spinal-gown's flap stays under or over the opening area
In a clinical setting, during epidural, changing post surgery dressing, spinal or back examination, and other types of back examination, and treatments, patients are asked to wear a regular medical gown which has an opening in the front or back from top to bottom. Sitting or laying down in a cold waiting room or a hospital room (especially when patient is lying in lateral position while the back is exposed to door) until the examiner is ready to see them and having most of ones body part exposed is very uncomfortable, embarrassing and conducive to catching colds.
The examiner wants to examine or treat the back area during examination, but patient have to be exposed when wearing the regular hospital gowns; this is embarrassing and uncomfortable for patients due to the nature of these open gowns.

(A) medical gown which opens in the front which overlaps each other in the front, (B) an opening in the back with a flap covering it, (C) the flap stays under or over the open area which is attached to the gown on top, (D) may use a Velcro to attach the bottom of the flap to the gown, (E) a belt this ties the gown in the waist region, (F) a strap around the collar to close the gown around the neck region.
There is a medical gown patients wear during spinal and back examination, treatment and minor surgeries.
The existing problem with regular gowns are that they open only in the back or front for any kind of examination or treatment, patient's body is exposed during examination or treatment from top to bottom. The advantage of the Spinal-gown is that the patients feel more modest and comfortable wearing the Spinal-gown compared to a regular gown since only the necessary area/body part will be exposed when the patient is ready for the examination or treatment.
By wearing the Spinal-gown the patients feel warm while waiting for the examiner and while being examined or treated.
It saves the patient and the examiner valuable time since only the back flap of the gown needs to be lifted up versus the whole gown needing to come on and off in the case of a regular gown.

The ab-gown is a medical gown which patients can wear during abdominal examination and treatment such as ultrasound when the fetus is being checked, during fetal monitoring, post surgery abdominal wound change or check of dressing, checking abdominal drainage or bleeding and other various medical examinations and treatments. The ab-gown closes in the back but there is a flap in the front to uncover the abdominal region. The ab-gown's flap stays under or over the opening area
