1. Field of the Invention
This invention relates generally to picture frames, and in particular to a picture frame attachable to computer monitors.
2. Prior Art
Almost everyone owns or work with computers, but sometime the lack of estate can make it difficult to display pictures in the office, dorm or at home. Most people just stick pictures with tape around their computer monitor damaging pictures and making often the working space look too crowded. A fare better solution is to provide a picture frame device that would allow picture display in an easy and functional way. The present invention allows maximization of space by permitting to display discretely and neatly pictures around any size computer monitor. Furthermore, pictures can be changed or removed easily by its detachable connector to the base, just plug it in or out.
Semi-moveable picture frame devices for computer monitor exist, but only allow the picture frame to rotate or pivot; no prior picture frame device can maneuver in any angle or position, and none have a detachable base that can be secured in any direction.
The prior invention U.S. Pat. No. 5,890,309 provides for a dual picture frame that can stand or pivot on top of computer monitors. Furthermore, the invention U.S. Pat. No. 6,543,168 provides a picture frame with a base attachable to a computer monitor and a mirror frame removable attachable to the base in one of three position, and the capacity to pivot about the base; and is adapted to being attached to the base by manipulation of a said ring-like element cylindrical interior aperture onto the base elongated member over the elongated base member free end.
Thus, while the forgoing body of prior inventions indicates it to be used for picture display around computer monitors, and has a detachable base; such picture holder may only pivot and can only be displayed on the top or sides of computer monitors in limited number of positions.
Nor, does the inventions described above demonstrates or suggests an all directional maneuverable picture frame device with a ball joint connector pluggable into an attachable base. Additionally, a detachable picture frame able to attach and display pictures horizontally, vertically, obliquely and upside down is not contemplated. The foregoing disadvantages are overcome by the unique easily maneuverable picture frame apparatus of the present invention as will be made apparent from the fallowing description thereof. Other advantages of the present invention over the prior inventions also will be rendered evident.
Accordingly, objects of the present maneuverable, attachable picture frame with detachable base are:
To be easily and stably secure on all four sides of computer monitor, or other desired surface;
To easily orientate in any position the picture holder for optimum viewing;
To safely remove or change pictures without moving or damaging the base;
A Maneuverable, attachable picture frame with detachable base.
A computer monitor picture frame which can be positioned in any direction, and has a detachable adhesive base with a rotatable ball joint connector allowing to move and orientate the picture holder in any direction for optimal viewing. The picture frame is made of a base and a top part. The top part has a picture holder made of folded clear acrylic sheets which has openings allowing for picture insertion; since the picture frame is somewhat transparent all the way around, pictures can be displayed on both sides of the picture frame. The top part of the device which holds the picture has an extension with a ball joint fitting into a connector; together they form the ball joint connector allowing for easy maneuvering of the picture holder, and easy adjustments in any direction of the picture holder. The ball joint connector fits into the base. The base has two ends, one end fitting into the picture holders' ball joint connector allowing it to plug in and out of the base; and another end with an adhesive coating at the bottom allowing the picture frame to attach onto any surface and in any position. Once the ball joint connector is inserted into the base, the top part of the picture frame is locked in, secured, but can still maneuver via the ball joint connector. The picture frame device can be stuck on any surface and in any position: horizontal, vertical, oblique or upside-down.
It is understood that although the above description is specific, it should not be considered as a limitation on the scope of the invention, but only as an example of the preferred embodiment. For example, the device can be used on walls, furniture, television or any other device. Furthermore, the picture frame holds in place with a self adhesive material but could also be held by suction cups or any other holding devise. Additionally, the picture holder can look different from a traditional picture frame, other device allowing holding pictures can be used. Therefore, the scope of the invention should be determined by the appended claims and their legal equivalents, not by the examples given.
