Claims
- 1. A method of attenuating a virus of the order Mononegavirales, comprising the step of:rearranging the gene order of said virus by moving a gene away from its wild-type position, wherein said gene is not the nucleocapsid gene of said viris.
- 2. A method of attenuating a virus of the order Mononegavirales, comprising the step of:rearranging gene order of said virus by moving said virus' nucleocapsid (N) gene away from its wild-type 3′ promoter proximal position and placing said N gene in the second or third position of said gene order.
- 3. A virus attenuated according to the method of claim 2.
