- wherein a longitudinal elastic member is provided with the longitudinal direction parallel to the longer sides of the mask main body,
- with the both end portions of the longitudinal elastic member arranged on the shorter sides of the mask main body and integrated with the shorter ends of the mask main body by welding, adhering, or stitching.
- 2. A mask comprising:
- a rectangular mask main body made of a ventilating material and formed of a rectangular rear side member facing at least a nose and a mouth of a wearer, and a rectangular front side member disposed over the rear side member, said mask main body having long and short sides and folded portions folded in a direction parallel to the long sides of the mask main body, end portions of the folded portions being located on the short sides and bound thereat, and
- a longitudinal elastic member stored in and attached to the mask main body to extend along the long sides of the mask main body, said elastic member having end portions arranged not to contact the short sides of the mask main body.
- 3. The mask according to claim 2, wherein the longitudinal elastic member is arranged on the rear side of the mask main body.
- 4. The mask according to claim 2, wherein said mask main body further includes a rectangular middle member made of a ventilating material and situated between the front and rear side members, said elastic member being arranged between the middle member and the rear side member, air-flow resistance of the rear side member being smaller than that of the middle member.
- 5. The mask according to claim 2, wherein said mask main body further includes a rectangular middle member made of a ventilating material and situated between the front and rear side members, said elastic member being arranged between the middle member and the rear side member and integrally connected to the rear side member.
- 6. The mask according to claim 2, wherein said rear and front side members are integrally connected together along peripheries thereof, said end portions of the elastic member being connected to the rear and front side members at a time of integrally connecting the short sides of the rear and front side members.
- 7. The mask according to claim 2, wherein said ventilating material is selected from a group consisting of paper, fabric and non-woven fabric.
- 8. A mask comprising:
- a rectangular mask main body made of a ventilating material and formed of a rectangular rear side member facing at least a nose and a mouth of a wearer, and a rectangular front side member disposed over the rear side member, said mask main body having long and short sides and folded portions folded in a direction parallel to the long sides of the mask main body, end portions of the folded portions being located on the short sides and bound thereat, and
- a longitudinal elastic member stored in the mask main body to extend along the long sides of the mask main body, said elastic member having end portions arranged not to contact the short sides of the mask main body, said rear and front sides members being bonded together in a vicinity of the elastic member to store the elastic member in the mask main body.
- 9. The mask according to claim 8, wherein the end portions of the elastic member are arranged at substantially center parts of the short sides of the mask main body.
- 10. The mask according to claim 8, wherein said ventilating material is selected from a group consisting of paper, fabric and non-woven fabric.
