Claims
- 1. A power transmission comprising: housing mens having a chamber, power input shaft means rotatably mounted on said housing means, power output shaft means rotatably mounted on said housing means, power transfer means located in said chamber drivably connecting the input shaft means with the output shaft means, motor means for driving the input shaft means, mount means secured to the housing means, and means connecting the motor means to the mount means, said mount means including first means attached to the housing means, and second means mounted on the first means, said means connecting the motor means to the mount means being attached to the second means, said first means of the mount means including a generally linear member having a non-circular cross section, said linear member extended generally parallel to the input shaft means, said second means comprising an arm means having sleeve means surrounding the linear member, said sleeve means having a non-circular passage generally corresponding to the cross sectional shape of the linear member whereby the sleeve means is linearly movable with respect to the linear member.
- 2. The power transmission means of claim 1 including: first bearing located in said chamber and secured to said housing means for rotatably mounting the power input shaft on said housing means, and second bearing means located in said chamber and secured to the housing means for rotatably mounting the output shaft means on said housing means.
- 3. The power transmission means of claim 1 wherein: said power output shaft includes a pair of drive shafts projected outwardly from said housing means.
- 4. A power transmission comprising: housing means having a chamber, power input shaft means rotatably mounted on said housing means, power output shaft means rotatably mounted on said housing means, power transfer means located in said chamber drivably connecting the input shaft means to the output shaft means, motor means for driving the input shaft means, mount means secured to the housing means, and means connecting the motor means to the mount means, said mount means including first means attached to the housing means, and second means mounted on the first means, said means connecting the motor means to the mount means being attached to the second means, said first means of the mount means includes a generally linear member having a non-circular cross section, said linear member extended generally parallel to the input shaft means, said second means including arm means movably mounted on said linear member, said arm means having a plurality of sleeve means surrounding the linear member, each of said sleeve means having a non-circular passage generally corresponding to the cross sectional shape of the linear member whereby each sleeve means can be linearly positioned along the length of the linear member, said arm means further including an arm attached to each sleeve means, said means connecting the motor means to the mount means being connected to each arm.
- 5. The power transmission of claim 4 wherein: each arm has an elongated slot accommodating the means connecting the motor means to the mount means whereby the motor means can be adjusted along the length of the arm means.
- 6. The power transmission of claim 4 including: means attached to the housing means to hold at least one sleeve means in a fixed position on the linear member.
- 7. The power transmission of claim 4 wherein: the linear member has a generally square cross section, and each of the sleeve means has a linear passage having a generally square cross section of a size to generally correspond to the cross section of the linear member whereby each of said sleeve means is slidably mounted on the linear member.
- 8. A mount for a motor operable to drive a power transmission unit having a housing and a power input shaft rotatably mounted on the housing comprising: first means adapted to be attached to the housing, arm means mounting on the first means, and second means for attaching the motor to the arm means, said first means includes a generally linear member located adjacent said housing, said linear member having a non-circular cross section, said arm means having sleeve means surrounding the linear member, said sleeve means having a non-circular passage generally corresponding to the cross sectional shape of the linear member whereby the sleeve means can be linearly moved along said linear member, said arm means further including at least one arm attached to the sleeve means, said second means being connected to said arm to attach the motor to said arm.
- 9. The mount of claim 8 wherein: said arm has a elongated slot extended generally normal to the linear member, said second means having a portion extended through said slot.
- 10. A mount for a motor operable to drive a power transmission unit having a housing and a power input shaft rotatably mounted on the housing comprising: first means adapted to be attached to the housing, arm means mounted on the first means, and second means for attaching the motor to the arm means, said first means including a generally linear member extended generally parallel to the input shaft of the power transmission unit, said linear member having a non-circular cross section, said arm means having a plurality of sleeve means surrounding the linear member, each sleeve means having a non-circular passage corresponding to the cross sectional shape of the linear member and being slidably disposed on said linear member, said arm means further including an arm attached to each sleeve means and extended generally normal to said linear member, said second means being connected to each arm.
- 11. The mount of claim 10 wherein: each arm has an end secured to a sleeve means.
- 12. The mount of claim 10 wherein: each arm has an elongated linear slot extended generally normal to the linear member, said second means having a portion extended through each slot to mount the motor on said arm.
- 13. The mount of claim 10 wherein: the linear member has a generally square cross section, and each of said sleeve means has a linear passage having a generally square cross section of a size to generally correspond to the cross section of the linear member whereby each of said sleeve means is slidably mounted on the linear member.
