Claims
- 1. A maternity beach chair comprising:
a frame means including a rectangularly-shaped main frame and a plurality of collapsible leg members, said main frame being mounted on said plurality of collapsible leg members, said leg members being pivotally attached to said frame means; a main frame cover having a continuous surface, said main frame cover having a first section, a second section, and a third section, said main frame cover having an enlarged opening in said second section dimensioned and configured to receive the abdominal area of a person resting on said main frame cover, said opening having a support pouch dimensioned and configured to fit within said opening, said support pouch dimensioned and configured to conform to the abdomen of a large person, said opening being positioned in the second section of said main frame cover, there further being first fastening means, said main frame cover being securely anchored to said main frame by said first fastening means; a second fastening means provided with a row of fastening members secured to said main frame, said second fastening members being complementary to and attachable to said first fastening members on said main frame cover; an opening in said first section of said main frame cover, dimensioned and configured to receive and conform to the shape of a person's face, said opening having an outer and an inner half, said opening in said second section having a support pad attached above said opening, said opening being dimensioned and configured to surround the outer half of said opening; and an auxiliary cover dimensioned and configured to conform to said main frame cover and provide the same support as said main frame cover, said auxiliary cover being placed over said opening of the second section of said main frame cover to provide a continual reinforcing support surface for a person lying on their back, said auxiliary cover having a row of complementary third fastening means dimensioned and configured to attach to said first fastening members of said main frame cover.
- 2. The maternity beach chair according to claim 1, wherein said leg members are assembled at the ends of said main frame and said second section of said main frame, for additional support towards the center of the maternity beach chair.
- 3. The maternity beach chair according to claim 1, wherein said fastening means are selected from the group consisting of hook and loop fasteners, and ties.
- 4. The maternity beach chair according to claim 1, further comprising means for adjusting said pouch.
- 5. The maternity beach chair according to claim 1, further comprising means for adjusting said main frame cover.
- 6. The maternity beach chair according to claim 1, wherein said main frame further comprises means for facilitating folding of said main frame, for storage and transport of said chair.
- 7. The beach chair according to claim 1, wherein said main frame further comprises a hinging means for folding said first and third sections in a plurality of lockable upright and downright positions.
- 8. The beach chair according to claim 7, wherein said hinging means is a positioning gear.
- 9. The beach chair according to claim 7, wherein said hinging means are adjustable elevator arms.
- 10. The beach chair according to claim 1, wherein said main frame includes a handle.
- 11. A beach chair comprising:
a frame means having a rectangularly-shaped main frame, a plurality of collapsible leg members, said frame being mounted on said plurality of collapsible leg members, said leg members being pivotally attached to said frame means; a main frame cover having a continuous surface, said main frame cover having a first section, a second section, and a third section, and first fastening means for anchoring said main frame cover to said main frame; a second fastening means including a row of fastening members secured to said main frame, said fastening members being complementary to and attachable onto said first fastening means on said main frame cover; and an opening in said first section of said main frame cover, dimensioned and configured to receive and conform to the shape of a person's face, said opening having an outer and an inner half, said opening in said second section having a support pad attached above said opening, said opening being dimensioned and configured to surround the outer half of said opening.
- 12. The beach chair according to claim 11, wherein said leg members are assembled at the ends of said main frame and said second section of said main frame, for additional support towards the center of the beach chair.
- 13. The beach chair according to claim 11, wherein said fastening means are selected from the group consisting of hook and loop fasteners, and ties.
- 14. The beach chair according to claim 11, further comprising means for adjusting said main frame cover.
- 15. The beach chair according to claim 11, wherein said main frame further comprises means for folding said main frame, for storage and transport of said chair.
- 16. The beach chair according to claim 11, wherein said main frame further comprises means for folding said first and third sections in a plurality of lockable upright and downright positions.
- 17. The beach chair according to claim 11, wherein said main frame further comprises a hinging means for folding said first and third sections in a plurality of lockable upright and downright positions.
- 18. The beach chair according to claim 17, wherein said hinging means is a positioning gear.
- 19. The beach chair according to claim 17, wherein said hinging means are adjustable elevator arms.
- 20. The beach chair according to claim 11, wherein said main frame includes a handle.
