Claims
- 1. A matrix composition useful for fragrance inclusion and fragrance control release therefrom comprising a surfactant selected from the group consisting of:
- (a) the cationic modified starch, RediBOND.RTM. 5320 (trademark of the National Starch Company of Bridgewater, N.J.), in admixture with partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl acetate, being hydrolyzed from about 73% up to about 99% and having a molecular weight in the range of from about 5,000 up to about 67,000;
- (b) the substance tetra(2-hydroxypropyl) ethylenediamine, having the structure: ##STR41## (c) cetyl trimethyl ammonium chloride having the structure: ##STR42## (d) a quaternary ammonium polysilane derivative having the structure: ##STR43## wherein R is the moiety having the structure:
- CH.sub.3 --[CH.sub.2 ].sub.x --;
- wherein m is an integer of from 10 up to 100; and wherein x is an integer of from 10 up to 100, in admixture with partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl acetate, being hydrolyzed from about 73% up to about 99% and having a molecular weight in the range of from about 5,000 up to about 67,000;
- and a matrix material selected from the group consisting of:
- (a) polyamides having a molecular weight in the range of from about 6,000 up to about 12,000;
- (b) carnauba wax;
- (c) candelilla wax;
- (d) mixtures of cetyl palmitate and carnauba wax;
- (e) mixtures of cetyl palmitate and candelilla wax;
- (f) ozokerite wax;
- (g) ceresin wax; and
- (h) low density polyethylene wax having a molecular weight in the range of from about 500 up to about 6,000.
- 2. The composition of claim 1 wherein the surfactant is, in the alternative:
- (i) tetra(2-hydroxypropyl) ethylenediamine, having the structure: ##STR44## (ii) cetyl trimethyl ammonium chloride having the structure: ##STR45## (iii) the quaternary amonium polysilane derivative having the structure: ##STR46## wherein R is the moiety having the structure:
- CH.sub.3 --[CH.sub.2 ].sub.x --;
- wherein m is an integer of from 10 up to 100; and wherein x is an integer of from 10 up to 100, and the weight ratio of quaternary ammonium polysilane derivative:partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl acetate is in the range of from about 2:1 up to about 1:2.

This application is a Continuation-in-Part of Application for United States Letters Patent, Ser. No. 08/933,599 filed on Sep. 18, 1997, now U.S. Pat. No. 6,042,792 issued on Mar. 28, 2000.
A Divisional application of said Ser. No. 08/933,599 filed on Sep. 18, 1997 is also pending in the United States Patent and Trademark Office, to wit: Ser. No. 09/064,732 filed on Apr. 23, 1998.
