Claims
- 1. An arrangement for holding sheet-like x-ray films, said arrangement comprising:
- (a) a support;
- (b) a magnetic layer provided on said support; and
- (c) a flexible laminate including a flexible intensifier screen, a flexible ferromagnetic layer, and a substantially flat, flexible receptacle for said ferromagnetic layer having one side which is secured to said support, said ferromagnetic layer being disposed between said one side and said flexible intensifier screen and being confined by said receptacle in such a manner as to have freedom of movement relative to the latter and to said flexible intensifier screen, and at least one of said layers being movable towards and away from the other of said layers, said support having a first wall, a second wall movable relative to said first wall, said magnetic layer being disposed between said flexible intensifier screen and one of said walls, said laminate being secured to the other of said walls, and said magnetic layer and said flexible intensifier screen being located on opposite sides of a film placed in said support.
- 2. The arrangement of claim 1, comprising an additional intersifier screen; and wherein, said magnetic layer being disposed between said additional screen and said one wall, said screens being arranged to engage opposite sides of a film placed in said support.
- 3. The arrangement of claim 1, wherein said one wall is the top wall of said support.
- 4. The arrangement of claim 2, wherein said support includes a hinge connecting said walls to each other, said additional screen and said magnetic layer being secured to said one wall, and said receptacle having first and second portions disposed at the opposite sides of said ferromagnetic layer.
- 5. The arrangement of claim 1, wherein said receptacle is an envelope having means affording access to said ferromagnetic layer.
- 6. The arrangement of claim 1, wherein said receptacle is a bag having means affording access to said ferromagnetic layer.
- 7. The arrangement of claim 1, wherein said receptacle consists of a material which is permeable to X-rays.
- 8. The arrangement of claim 7, wherein the material of said receptacle is paper.
- 9. The arrangement of claim 7, wherein the material of said receptacle is a synthetic plastic substance.
- 10. The arrangement of claim 1, further comprising means for separably securing said laminate to said support.
- 11. The arrangement of claim 10, wherein said securing means includes at least one strip having a first adhesive-coated side adhering to said one side and a second adhesive-coated side adhering to said support.
- 12. The arrangement of claim 1, wherein said laminate comprises means for separably securing said receptacle to said flexible screen.
- 13. The arrangement of claim 12, wherein said securing means comprises at least one strip having a first adhesive-coated side adhering to said flexible screen and a second adhesive-coated side adhering to said receptacle.
- 14. The arrangement of claim 1, wherein said receptacle comprises a protective layer having said one side, and means for securing said flexible screen to said protective layer.
- 15. The arrangement of claim 14, wherein said flexible screen and said protective layer have neighboring marginal zones and said securing means includes at least one adhesive-coated strip connecting at least a portion of the marginal zone of said flexible screen to the adjacent portion of the marginal zone of said protective layer.
- 16. The arrangement of claim 15, wherein said strip forms a circumferentially complete frame around the ferromagnetic layer between said flexible screen and said protective layer.
