Claims
- 1. A measuring cup lid for use for application to the upper end of a cup of the type used for holding beverages, said cup lid capable of pressure fitting upon the upper lip of the cup to which it is applied, said cup lid having a concavity formed of its upper surface, a closure base, forming an upper surface, and a rim around the closure base extending upwardly thereof, and providing for the said formed concavity, the cup lid rim inserts and secures within the beverage cup during usage, the rim has a curled over lip, and said lip engages into closure upon the upper edge of the cup during usage, there being a series of compartments integrally formed upon the upper surface of the closure base, said compartments formed having upwardly extending sides, each compartment having end edges, and said compartments through their end edges being integrally formed with the inner rim of the cup lid, to form each of said compartments, each compartment being semicircular in design, the end edges of adjacent compartments that are contiguous are integrally formed with the inner surface of the rim during their formation.
- 2. The cup lid of claim 1 wherein there are three semicircular compartments formed extending upwardly from the closure base and integrated into the structure of the cup lid rim during fabrication.
- 3. The cup lid of claim 2 wherein the measuring cup lid is formed of a polymer.
- 4. The measuring cup lid of claim 4 wherein the rim has a curled over lip, and the lip engages into closure upon the upper edge of the cup during usage.
- 5. The measuring cup lid of claim 1 wherein each compartment is at least partially annular in configuration.
- 6. A measuring cup lid for use for application to the upper end of a cup of the type used for holding beverages, said cup lid being of the type that pressure fits upon the upper lip of the cup to which it is applied, said cup lid having a concavity formed of its upper surface, a closure base, forming an upper surface, and a rim around the closure base extending upwardly thereof, and providing for the formed concavity, said cup lid rim inserts and secures within the beverage cup during usage, and said cup lid rim has a curled over lip, said lip engages into closure upon the upper edge of the cup during usage, said lid having a series of compartments integrally formed upon the upper surface of the closure base, said compartments having a polygonal configuration and end edges, the end edges of each compartment being integrated into the inner surface of the rim during fabrication, and each adjacent compartment having contiguous end edges integrally connected and integrated into the structure of the inner surface of the rim during its formation, said series of compartments integrally formed upon the upper surface of the closure base, said compartments being of a specific volumetric capacity to provide for the measurement of any condiments that may be added to the beverage upon consumption, wherein a condiment may be applied within at least one of said compartments to provided for its exact measuring before pouring into the beverage contained within said cup.
- 7. The measuring cup lid of claim 6 wherein each compartment is multi sided, and each compartment being upwardly open.
- 8. The measuring cup lid of claim 6 wherein each compartment is at least partially angular in configuration.
