Claims
- 1. A measuring system for measuring a shape of an object, comprising:
a storage section for storing shape data of the object; a measuring section for measuring the shape of the object and for generating shape data of the object; a display section for displaying the shape of the object; and a mode selector for allowing a user of the measuring system to select one of a plurality of modes that include a first mode and a second mode; a control section for controlling the measuring system based on one of the plurality of modes selected by the mode selector, wherein said control section controls, in the first mode, the measuring section and the display section to measure the shape of the object and to display the shape of the object based on the shape data measured by the measuring section, and controls, in the second mode, the storage section and the display section to read out the shape data from the storage section and to display the shape of the object based on the shape data read out from the storage section.
- 2. A measuring system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the measuring section comprises:
a light projecting section for projecting a slit shaped light toward the object and for scanning the slit shaped light on the object; and a sensing section for receiving the slit shaped light reflected from the object, the measuring section generating shape data regarding a three-dimensional shape of the object based on the output from the sensing section.
- 3. A measuring system as claimed in claim 2, further comprising:
an image taking section for taking a two-dimensional image of the object,
wherein, in the first mode, the control section controls the display section to display the two-dimensional image taken by the image taking section.
- 4. A measuring system as claimed in claim 1, wherein, in the first mode, the control section further controls the storage section to store the shape data generated by the measuring section.
- 5. A measuring system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the measuring system comprises a measuring apparatus in which the display section, the mode selector, and the control section are provided.
- 6. A measuring system claimed in claim 5, wherein the storage section is provided in the measuring apparatus.
