The invention is a monoblock submachine gun part that is housed within the upper body, that pushes the round in the magazine into the shell chamber, that houses the pin system which fires the round in the shell chamber by triggering the explosion of its capsule, that pulls the empty shell in the shell chamber with the lug on it, and that winds the cock which has the function of hitting the pin for a second shot as it moves back due to the power of the recoil.
Various mechanisms are developed that are related to the firing of firearms with ease, and their self-winding to fire a second round, after firing a round. However the parts that belong to this mechanism are connected to each other with connecting pieces. These mechanisms that are connected with connecting pieces deform over time. In prior art, there exists no part that is manufactured as monoblock to solve this problem.
The patent titled “Firing Device” with the application number “2008/09125” can be given as an example for the prior art. The invention comprises of the necessary devices to carry the round as a base to the body support piece in the magazine and in front of the barrel entry.
The invention referred to here as an example is about a weapon that contains a firing mechanism at the barrel entry. As can be understood from the figures of the said invention, the mechanism section is composed of several pieces that are combined.
In this application, however, the mechanism is present as a monoblock, unlike the invention referred to as an example. In addition, this mechanism houses the pin and the pin housing which have different diameters. Further, the front profile of the mechanism is arranged such that it would not rub against the side walls of the magazine and such that it would get into the barrel as it pushes the round into the shell chamber of the barrel. In addition, there is no additional apparatus that connects the mechanism with the barrel. As a result, the invention that is referred to as an example is completely different from the present invention.
The present invention is about a monoblock firing mechanism that eliminates all of the disadvantages mentioned above and that cocks the weapon for the firing of a second round.
The present invention is about a mechanism that is part of the structure of a submachine gun which fires 9×19 mm caliber rounds and which can be used as an assault weapon, and its mode of operation.
The ideal embodiment of the submachine gun that includes the mechanism which is the subject matter of the invention can be composed of an upper body, a buffer, a buffer spring that is positioned such that it circumvents the said buffer, a barrel to which the mechanism is directly connected to, a lower body that the upper body is connected to, a magazine that is attached to the lower body, a magazine lock that locks the magazine in place when it is attached and that allows for the detachment of the magazine, a fixed ejector that ejects the live round if the round was not fired or the empty shell if the round was fired, an ejection port through which the said live round or the empty shell is ejected from the submachine gun and a handle that is located on the lower body, a barrel round chamber; a pin system that fires the round by triggering the explosion of the capsule of the round in the round chamber; and a cock which has the function of hitting the pin.
The mechanism is connected to the said upper body and has at least one winding arm (1) that is integrated to the mechanism. The barrel is directly connected to the mechanism.
The mechanism that is the subject matter of the invention is a submachine gun part that pushes the round in the magazine into the shell chamber, that houses the pin system which fires the round in the shell chamber by triggering the explosion of its capsule, that pulls the empty shell in the shell chamber with the lug on it, and that winds the cock which has the function of hitting the pin for a second shot as it moves back due to the power of the recoil.
The mechanism that is the subject matter of the invention is detailed as follows:
It is characterized by having at least one winding arm (1) that is integrated to the mechanism, at least one front profile (2) of the mechanism that pushes the round in the magazine into the shell chamber, at least one pin housing with varying diameters which opens into the mechanism, at least one pin and spring (3) which are placed in the said pin housing, at least one ejection window through which the empty shell is ejected after the firing of the round, channels (4) that prevent the mechanism from scuffing the magazine walls and the neck portion of the fixed ejector as the mechanism moves forward and backward along the barrel's axis, side ejections (5) built along the length of the mechanism that decrease overheating by decreasing the friction surface as the mechanism works inside the upper body without deviating from the working axis.
The mechanism that is the subject matter of the invention does not have any added connecting pieces, such that the mechanism is manufactured as a monoblock part.
The winding arm (1) on the mechanism allows the mechanism to be wound by the use of this winding arm. In addition, it prevents the mechanism from rolling around its axis inside the upper body enclosure.
The mechanism is housed within the upper body. When a winding arm that is connected to the upper body which is situated behind the mechanism and hence behind the upper body is pulled backwards, the upper body gets in contact with the winding lug (1) on the mechanism and pulls the mechanism along with itself thereby compressing the absorber buffer coil spring that is behind the mechanism. When the pulling force applied to the winding arm is released, the mechanism that is the subject matter of the application moves forward under the influence of the coil spring. Due to the special rim structure of the mechanism, the round in the magazine is pushed into the barrel round chamber. The rim portion of the mechanism or, stated differently, its front profile does not brush against the side walls of the magazine. In addition, the front profile of the mechanism (2) gets into the barrel as it pushes the round in front of it into the barrel round chamber.
The mechanism houses the pin and the pin coil spring (3) which are placed in the pin housing that have carvings of different diameters. The capsule of the round that is in the round chamber is fired to be exploded by the said pin. After the shot, the lug on the mechanism that travels back due to the explosion pulls the empty shell backwards. The empty shell that travels backwards in a straight line along the barrel's axis changes direction of movement and is ejected out through the ejection window when its back side hits the fixed ejector under the pulling force exerted by the lug.
There are channels (4) carved on the lower surface of the mechanism, which also constitute the frontal profile of the mechanism (2), that prevent the magazine walls and the fixed ejector from scraping the mechanism as the mechanism travels forward and backward along the barrel axis.
In addition to that, there are side ejections (5) that are placed along the length of the mechanism. Said side ejections (5) provide the operation of the mechanism within the upper body without deviating from the axis. Further, side ejections (5) decrease friction surfaces. Fewer friction surfaces lead to a decrease in heat caused by friction.
In sum, this invention is about an enhanced firing system in firearms and the operating mechanism of this system.
