There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
Ornamental indicia 26 are applied to the scrub top 12 and the ornamental indicia 26 comprise stripes 28 that are associated with a specific sports team logo 24. In this way the ornamental indicia 26 enhance the legitimacy of the logo indicia 22 by accurately recreating the appearance of a jersey that would be worn by players of the sports team represented by the sports team logo 24. A pair of first pockets 30 each is each applied to the torso 14 and each of the pair of first pockets 30 is positioned adjacent to a waist 32 of the torso 14. Each of the pair of first pockets 30 is positioned on opposing sides of an outer surface 34 of the torso 14 and each of the first pockets 30 has an upper end 36 that is open into an interior of the first pockets 30.
A pair of second pockets 38 is each applied to the torso 14 and each of the second pockets 38 extends outwardly from a respective one of the first pockets 30. Each of the pair of second pockets 38 has a top end 40 that is open into an interior of the second pockets 38. The scrub top 12 has a neck 39 which has a pair of lateral sides 41 that each angle toward each other to intersect at a point 43 on a front side 45 of the torso 14. The logo indicia 22 are positioned closer to the point 43 defined by the lateral sides 41 of the neck 39 than the waist 32 and the logo indicia 22 are centrally positioned on the torso 14. Additionally, each of the pair of first pockets 30 has a lateral edge 42 which is spaced from a centerline of the torso 14 that extends between the neck 39 and the waist 32. Each of the second pockets 38 is positioned on the outer surface 34 of the torso 14 and the top end 40 of each of the second pockets 38 is spaced upwardly from the upper end 36 of the respective first pocket 30. Furthermore, each of the second pockets 38 is offset from the lateral edge 42 of the respective first pocket 30. Each of the sleeves 16 and each of the first pockets 30 and each of the second pockets 38 and the neck 39 and the waist 32 may have reinforcing stitching 45 to enhance the durability and service life of the scrub top.
In an alternative embodiment 44 as is shown in
The stripes 28 defined by the ornamental indicia 26 includes a pair of stripes 52 and each of the pair of stripes 52 is applied to the outer surface 34 of the torso 14 corresponding to the front side 45 of the torso 14. Furthermore, each of the pair of stripes 52 has a first portion 54 which extends along a respective one of the lateral sides 41 of the neck 39. Each of the pair of stripes 52 has a second portion 56 which extends between the first portion 54 and the waist 32 of the torso 14 such that the second portion 56 is positioned between the pair of first pockets 30. Additionally, the second portion 56 of each of the pair of stripes 52 is spaced from and is oriented parallel to the lateral edge 42 of a respective one of the pair of first pockets 30. As is shown in
In use, the scrub top 12 is worn on the user's upper body 18 when the user 20 is performing in the medical environment or at any other time that the user 20 wishes to wear scrubs. The logo indicia 22 and the ornamental indicia 26 serve to foster a jovial mood in the medical environment when the user 20 wears the scrub top 12 in the medical environment. In this way children, for example, who are receiving medical attention might be less prone to fear and anxiety when they see the user 20 wearing the scrub top 12 with the logo indicia 22 and the ornamental indicia 26. Furthermore, the logo indicia 22 and the ornament indicia facilitate the user 20 to celebrate their favorite professional team, for example, or to inspire support for a local sports team.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, garment and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
