Claims
- 1. A transport assembly for transporting medical materials including organs and tissues comprising:
- a reservoir bag;
- a tissue container;
- a collector bag;
- a first tubing connected to said reservoir bag and said tissue container;
- a second tubing connected to said tissue container and said collector bag; and
- a support holder within which said reservoir bag, tissue container and collector bag are disposed, and wherein said reservoir bag is suspended from said support holder;
- wherein said tissue container includes a clamping assembly for holding tissue within said tissue container and wherein said tissue container includes a lid and said clamping assembly is connected to said lid such that tissue can be suspended from said lid by said clamping assembly.
- 2. The transport assembly of claim 1, wherein said first tubing includes a deformable portion to allow pumping through said first tubing by a peristaltic pump.
- 3. The transport assembly of claim 1, wherein said reservoir bag and said collector bag are not coupled to each other, and are in communication with one another only through said tissue container.
- 4. The transport assembly of claim 1, wherein said clamping assembly includes a pair of clamping jaws and a pair of gripping ears connected to said pair of clamping jaws such that said pair of clamping jaws are manually actuatable by said pair of gripping ears.
- 5. The transport assembly of claim 4, wherein said lid of said tissue container includes a slot for receiving said clamping assembly such that said pair of clamping jaws are disposed below said lid and said pair of gripping ears are disposed above said lid.
- 6. The transport assembly of claim 5, wherein said clamping assembly includes a groove which receives side surfaces of said slot of the tissue container lid.
- 7. The transport assembly of claim 1, further including a box containing said reservoir bag, tissue container, collector bag, first tubing, second tubing and support holder.
- 8. The transport assembly of claim 7, wherein said first tubing extends through an aperture provided in said lid of said tissue container, and wherein said second tubing is connected to a lower portion of said tissue container, and further wherein said collector bag is disposed on a bottom surface of said box.
- 9. The transport assembly of claim 7, wherein said reservoir bag, tissue container, collector bag, first tubing, second tubing and support holder are detachably disposed in said box.
- 10. The transport assembly of claim 9, wherein said collector bag, reservoir bag, tissue container, first tubing and second tubing are disposable.
- 11. The transport assembly of claim 9, wherein said support holder includes an upper perimeter frame portion, and wherein said box includes an opening having an upper perimeter, and further wherein said upper perimeter frame portion extends along said upper perimeter of said opening.
- 12. The transport assembly of claim 7, further including a pump head mounted on an interior side wall of said box, and wherein said first tubing includes a deformable portion which is received by said pump head for pumping through said first tubing.
- 13. A transport assembly for transporting medical materials including organs and tissues comprising:
- a reservoir bag;
- a tissue container;
- a collector bag;
- a first tubing connected to said reservoir bag and said tissue container;
- a second tubing connected to said tissue container and said collector bag; and
- a support holder within which said reservoir bag, tissue container and collector bag are disposed, and wherein said reservoir bag is suspended from said support holder;
- wherein said support holder is defined by a frame assembly having an upper perimeter frame portion and a pair of legs connected to said upper perimeter frame portion for supporting said upper perimeter frame portion.
- 14. The transport assembly of claim 13, wherein said collector bag, reservoir bag, tissue container, first tubing and second tubing are disposable.
- 15. The transport assembly of claim 14, further including a box within which said support holder is detachably disposed, and wherein said box includes an opening having an upper perimeter, and further wherein said upper perimeter frame portion of said support holder extends along said upper perimeter of said opening.
- 16. An assembly for transporting medical material including organs and tissues comprising:
- a reservoir bag;
- a collector bag;
- a tissue container;
- a first tubing connected to said reservoir bag and said tissue container;
- a second tubing connected to said tissue container and said collector bag;
- a lid disposed upon said tissue container; and
- a clamping assembly connected to said lid for suspending tissues within said container from said lid.
- 17. The assembly of claim 16, wherein said lid includes a slot for receiving said clamping assembly.
- 18. The assembly of claim 16, wherein said clamping assembly includes a pair of jaws disposed below said lid and a pair of gripping ears disposed above said lid, wherein said gripping ears are connected to said clamping jaws for manually actuating said clamping jaws.
- 19. The assembly of claim 18, wherein said lid includes a slot, and said clamping assembly includes a groove which receives side surfaces of the slot of the lid.
- 20. The assembly of claim 16, further including a support holder including an upper perimeter frame portion and a pair of legs connected to and supporting said upper perimeter frame portion, and wherein said tissue container is disposed within said support holder.
- 21. The assembly of claim 20, wherein:
- said reservoir bag is connected to and suspended from said upper perimeter frame portion.
- 22. The transport assembly of claim 16, wherein said first tubing includes a deformable portion to allow pumping through said first tubing by a peristaltic pump.
- 23. The transport assembly of claim 16, further including a box containing said reservoir bag, collector bag, tissue container, first tubing and second tubing, and wherein a pump head is disposed on an interior side wall of said box, and further wherein said first tubing includes a deformable portion which is received by said pump head for pumping through said first tubing.
- 24. The transport assembly of claim 16, wherein said lid of said tissue container includes a slot extending from a peripheral location of said lid toward a center of said lid, and wherein said clamping assembly is slidably received in said slot.
- 25. An assembly for transporting medical materials comprising:
- a tissue container;
- a lid disposed on said tissue container, said lid including a slot;
- a clamping assembly connected to said lid for suspending tissue within said tissue container from said lid;
- said clamping assembly including a groove which receives side surfaces of said slot of the tissue container lid;
- wherein said slot of said tissue container lid extends from a peripheral location of said lid toward a center of said lid, and said slot slidably receives said clamping assembly.
- 26. The assembly of claim 25, wherein said clamping assembly includes a pair of jaws disposed below the lid, and a spring biasing said jaws in a closed position.
- 27. The assembly of claim 25, wherein said clamping assembly further includes a pair of gripping ears disposed above said lid.
- 28. An assembly for transporting medical materials comprising:
- a tissue container;
- a lid disposed on said tissue container, said lid including a slot;
- a clamping assembly connected to said lid for suspending tissue within said tissue container from said lid;
- said clamping assembly including a groove which receives side surfaces of said slot of the tissue container lid;
- wherein said clamping assembly includes a pair of jaws disposed below the lid, said clamping assembly further including a pair of gripping ears disposed above said lid, and a spring biasing said jaws in a closed position.
