Claims
- 1. A method of administering a powdered inhalation medicament from an inhalation device comprising the steps of:
- obtaining a tightly compacted body of powdered inhalation medicament having a predetermined shape and including an active ingredient having a particle size of from 1 to 10 microns, the degree of compaction being sufficient to hold said powdered inhalation medicament together solely due to the compaction such that said tightly compacted body will retain its shape and structural integrity upon handling;
- placing said tightly compacted body in said inhalation device;
- abrading said tightly compacted body in said inhalation device so as to sequentially obtain a plurality of unit doses of said powdered inhalation medicament from a single tightly compacted body.
