Claims
- 1. A method for positioning, onto a shaft, one or a plurality of disk-like media, each having a circular opening portion in a substantially center thereof, said method comprising the steps of:inserting the shaft into the circular opening portion of each of the one or plurality of disk-like media; disposing a guide element having a cylindrical porous material portion in a vicinity of inner circumferential surfaces of each of the one or plurality of disk-like media; forming a fluid film between an outer circumferential surface of the porous material portion and the inner circumferential surfaces of each of the one or plurality of disk-like media; and positioning each of the one or plurality of disk-like media with respect to a center axis of the shaft using the fluid film.
- 2. A support apparatus for supporting one or a plurality of disk-like media, each having a circular opening portion in a substantially center thereof, said apparatus comprising:a shaft inserted into the opening portion of each of said one or plurality of disk-like media; a guide element having a cylindrical porous material portion, which is disposed in a vicinity of inner circumferential surfaces of each of said one or plurality of disk-like media; and fluid film forming means for forming a fluid film between an outer circumferential surface of said porous portion and inner circumferential surfaces of said one or plurality of disk-like media, wherein each of said one or plurality of disk-like media is positioned with respect to a center axis of said shaft by said fluid film.
- 3. An apparatus according to claim 2, wherein said plurality of disk-like media are stacked with ring-like spacers inserted between respective ones of said plurality of disk-like media.
- 4. An apparatus according to claim 2, further comprising fixing means for fixing said one or plurality of disk-like media to said shaft.
