Claims
- 1. A meningitis vaccine comprising a physiologically acceptable medium containing in a single dosage 10 .mu.g to 100 .mu.g of an antigenic and immunogenic capsular polysaccharide from H. influenza type b consisting of about equal parts of ribose, ribitol and phosphate, substantially all of the polysaccharide having a molecular weight of at least about 5,000,000, and about half of the polysaccharide having a molecular weight of at least about 10,000,000.
- 2. The vaccine of claim 1 wherein the amount of the antigenic and immunogenic capsular polysaccharide is 10 .mu.g to 25 .mu.g for children; 25 .mu.g to 50 .mu.g for adults.
