Abstract
The present invention relates to a functional male underwear including a left scrotal band supporting the left side of the scrotum and a right scrotal band supporting the right side of the scrotum of a male, in which the upper side of each scrotal band is sewn to the left or right groin of the underwear body, respectively, and the lower side of each scrotal band is coupled to the perineum and lower scrotum of the underwear body, respectively, thereby supporting the left and right sides of the scrotum, so as to absorb sweat on the surface of the scrotum and improve ventilation while completely separating the scrotum from the groin and thigh.
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention relates to a functional male underwear and, more specifically, to functional male underwear, including an underwear body and one pair of scrotal bands, which includes a left scrotal band for supporting the left side of the scrotum of a male and a right scrotal band for supporting the right side of the scrotum, wherein upper sides of the respective scrotal bands are sewn to a left or right side of the groin of the underwear body, respectively, and lower sides of the respective scrotal bands are coupled to a position corresponding to the perineum, respectively, so as to support the left and right sides of the scrotum and completely separate the scrotum from the groin and thighs, thereby absorbing sweat from the surface of the scrotum and improving ventilation.

BACKGROUND ART

In general, men's underwear simply has the function and effect of clothing and thus has been exposed to discomfort and hygiene problems such as various skin diseases and bad odors, since the scrotum of a man is in close contact with the skin of the groin so that pressure is applied to each other and ventilation becomes difficult.

In particular, when pants worn externally are tight or inflexible, the pressure applied to the scrotum and penis increases, making the above problems serious.

Accordingly, it is a long-standing desire and task to provide underwear that can properly separate the scrotum from the thighs and groin and absorb and discharge sweat for men who have a lot of fat on the thighs and sweat a lot in the groin and scrotum.

It is important for functional male underwear to absorb sweat and improve breathability while separating the left and right sides of the scrotum from the thighs.

In general, the position and structure of a structure for independently separating or accommodating the scrotum may have a similar shape due to the nature of the function thereof. However, the effect and achievement of the function vary depending on the shape of the structure and where and how the structure is properly attached and the difference in utility increases dramatically.

Therefore, a variety of prior technologies have been proposed to solve these problems, and there are related prior technologies disclosed in “functional underwear for man” of Korean registered patent No. 10-1551364 (hereinafter, referred to as “prior art 1”), “men's underpants” of Korean registered patent No. 10-1987604 (hereinafter, referred to as “prior art 2”), “functional panties” of Korean registered patent No. 10-2075867 (hereinafter, referred to as “prior art 3”), “the man's underwear” of Korean registered utility model No. 20-0252493 (hereinafter, referred to as “prior art 4”), and “functional panties for man” of Korean registered patent No. 10-1269887 (hereinafter, referred to as “prior art 5”).

First, prior art 1 includes an underwear body having an opening portion formed in a front surface so that the penis is exposed to the outside through the opening portion, a scrotum pocket sewn to a front inner surface of the underwear body so as to accommodate the scrotum, and a penis pocket, which is disposed at an upper side of the scrotum pocket and accommodates the penis, wherein rear surfaces of the scrotum pocket and the penis pocket are joined to an edge of the opening portion so that the penis accommodated in the penis pocket is exposed to the outside through the opening portion, thereby realizing more comfortable accommodation of the penis and scrotum and convenient use.

However, according to prior art 1, the upper side of the scrotum pocket is attached to a waist band at an upper end portion of underwear, so the separation of the scrotum is not precise. In addition, it is uncomfortable since the scrotum becomes dislodged when a wearer changes posture or engage in activity or when the scrotum contracts or relaxes.

Prior art 2 includes an inner sheet attached to an edge of a body hole, an edge of a left leg hole, and an edge of a right leg hole inside a front surface of underpants so as to form a penis space, which is a space for the penis, between the inner surface of the front surface of the underpants and the inner sheet; and an elastic band, which is attached to the front surface of the underpants so as to be positioned at a lower portion of the inner sheet and is connected to the edge of the left leg hole and the edge of the right leg hole, wherein the penis of a wearer is inserted into a lower insertion hole, which is an open space formed between the inner surface of the front surface and a lower edge of the inner sheet positioned between the edge of the left leg hole and the edge of the right leg hole, and wherein the elastic band can press against an area where the penis and scrotum of the wearer meet.

However, prior art 2 has disadvantages in that a wearer is likely to feel stuffy, like wearing two layers of underpants and sweating occurs due to poor ventilation. In addition, it's similar to wearing extra underwear, so the wearer is likely to feel uncomfortable as the scrotum and groin get stuck together and the scrotum gets caught in the band of the underpants.

Prior art 3 proposes functional panties, in which separate spaces for accommodating the penis and scrotum respectively are formed above and below a central incision, and a lower end portion of protective fabric that forms a scrotum accommodation space protrudes forward so that a separate scrotum insertion space is further formed in the scrotum accommodation space, thereby minimizing contact between the penis and the scrotum.

However, prior art 3 has a limitation in that the effect of separating the scrotum and penis is insufficient since the penis and scrotum cannot be separated when positioned together at a lower portion.

In addition, prior art 4 discloses the man's underwear, in which on an inner front surface of the underwear, a penis sheath and a scrotum sheath are formed with spaces where the male penis and scrotum can be placed separately, wherein the scrotum sheath includes a space part for isolating the scrotum and a convex part, which is formed convexly so as to form the space part and supports the scrotum as if surrounding the scrotum, and ventilation holes are formed in both sides of the scrotal sheath.

However, prior art 4 has problems in that the underwear has a structure uncomfortable to wear, in which the scrotum has to be forced into the scrotum sheath when wearing the underwear, the scrotum is tightened by an upper edge of the scrotum sheath, the scrotum and the perineum are forcedly separated from each other by the upper edge of the scrotum sheath, which creates strong pressure on the scrotum and, by extension, it is not possible to respond to the relaxation and contraction of the scrotum.

Furthermore, according to the functional panties for man of prior art 5, an elastic band is fixedly installed in a V shape to the inside of a front sheet of an underwear body so that the elastic band is inserted between the scrotum and groin so as to provide a ventilation space for absorbing sweat and discharging the absorbed sweat between the scrotum and groin.

However, the elastic band of prior art 5 has problems in that due to a structure, in which the elastic band is attached flat to the front surface sheet of the underwear body, it is difficult for a surface of the elastic band to come into contact with both left and right sides of the scrotum with a sufficient area, and due to the contraction force of the elastic band, strong pressure is caused on the scrotum, which significantly reduces wearing comfort, especially when the scrotum becomes larger or relaxed.

To solve these problems, the inventor of the present patent application has suggested functional underpants (hereinafter, referred to as “prior art 6”) of Korean registered patent no. 10-2198590 (filed on Jul. 27, 2020 and registered on Dec. 29, 2020).

However, prior art 6 still have problems in that a single scrotal band is provided to connect left and right sides and the groin so that both ends of the scrotal band are fixed to the left and right sides of the groin respectively and the central part of the scrotal band is fixed to a perineum position of the underpants, wherein an underwear body and the scrotal band overlap each other at a portion under the scrotum, that is, in an area adjacent to the perineum and thus the portion under the scrotum is made up of two layers and becomes thicker, reducing ventilation under the scrotum. Therefore, when the scrotum is wet with sweat, the sweat does not dry well and the portion under the scrotum becomes damp and sticks to a lower portion of the scrotum, causing feeling of irritation and discomfort. In addition, if the portion under the scrotum does not fit the body shape of a wearer well or if the wearer's scrotum expands, the scrotal band made up of a single structure is pulled and tightened, causing pressure on the scrotum with discomfort.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Technical Problem

Therefore, the present invention has been derived to solve the above problems and disadvantages, and a purpose of the present invention is to provide functional male underwear with improved sweat absorption and breathability, which includes an underwear body and one pair of separate left and right scrotal bands provided along left and right sides of a groin part inside a front surface of the underwear body.

In particular, another purpose of the present invention is to provide functional male underwear with improved wearing comfort regardless of various body types of wearers.

Furthermore, still another purpose of the present invention is to provide functional male underwear, which can effectively respond to relaxation and contraction of the scrotum and support the scrotum more stably.

Problem Solving Means

In order to achieve the purposes of the present invention, functional male underwear according to the present invention includes

    • an underwear body 10; and
    • scrotal bands 30, which are fixed to the front surface 11 of the underwear body, come into close contact with the left groin and right groin of a wearer, respectively, and includes a left scrotal band 30L for separating the left thigh and the left portion of the scrotum of the wearer from each other, and a right scrotal band 30R for separating the right thigh and the right portion of the scrotum of the wearer from each other,
    • wherein each of the left and right scrotal bands 30L, 30R has a long side L13, a short side L24, an upper side L34 and a lower side L12 in a square or trapezoidal shape, and
    • the upper side L34 is fixed in a longitudinal direction along a groin line of the underwear body, and the lower side L12 is fixed to the underwear body at a position corresponding to a lower portion of the perineum of the wearer.

In particular, the lower side of the left scrotal band and the lower side of the right scrotal band are respectively fixed to the underwear body at a predetermined distance from each other at positions corresponding to a lower portion of the perineum and scrotum area of the wearer.

Furthermore, the long sides L13 of the scrotal bands come into close contact with the groin of the wearer in wearing condition so as to improve sweat absorption while separating the thighs and the scrotum, the short sides L24 of the scrotal bands form loose wrinkles so as to improve sweat absorption and breathability, and the scrotum is supported stably without pressure even when the scrotum expands and relaxes.

Effects of the Invention

The functional male underwear according to the present invention as described above is easy to wear owing to the structure described above, in which regardless of the body type of a wearer, each long side of the left and right scrotal bands can come into close contact with each of the left and right groin between the scrotum and thighs. In particular, under the scrotum in the vicinity of the perineum, that is, under the lower portion of the scrotum, the underwear body is formed as is, thereby eliminating pressure applied on the area below the scrotum and improving breathability. Even when worn, loose wrinkles are formed on each short side of the left and right scrotal bands, allowing the scrotum to be stably supported without applying pressure on the scrotum even when the scrotum is inflated or relaxed.

Compared with prior art 6, disclosed in Korean Patent No. 10-2198590 of the inventor of the present patent application, the present invention can achieve the effects of excellent wearing comfort and improved breathability since the lower portion of the scrotum, that is, the perineum area is supported only with the underwear body without the scrotal band. In addition, it is possible to stably support the scrotum without applying pressure thereon even when the scrotum expands and relaxes.

Therefore, the scrotal bands according to the present invention perform the functions of effectively absorbing and dissipating sweat accumulated in the posterior lower portion of the scrotum, the side portions of the scrotum, and the perineum.

In addition, the manufacturing process becomes simple owing to the simple structure, saving materials. Despite differences in body shape that deviate from standard sizes, the functional male underwear can be worn comfortably by raising or lowering appropriately. Even if the scrotal bands are made of a fiber material same as that of the underwear body, instead of a highly elastic material, the scrotal bands can stably come into close contact with the groin of a wearer and stably support the scrotum without applying pressure on the scrotum even when the scrotum expands or relaxes.

A functional male underwear according to the present invention includes, as shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 4, an underwear body 10 and one pair of scrotal bands 30L, 30R provided on the inside of a front surface 11 of the underwear body 10, wherein underwear is explained by taking an example of drawers as a type of men underwear and includes trunks, triangular briefs, etc., and thus the scope of the present invention should not be construed as being limited by the shape of the underwear.

The purpose of the present invention is to completely separate the scrotum of a man into an independent space when wearing underwear. Men's underwear is provided with a waist fixing band and generally has groin seam lines 15 formed at a groin position so as to increase wearing comfort.

The underwear body is divided into the front surface 11 and a rear surface 13 and can be formed as one piece by sewing. A scrotum accommodating part seam line 21 may be formed on the inside of the front surface 11 of the main body 10 so as to form a scrotum accommodating part 20 that can accommodate the scrotum, wherein since this configuration is the same as the shape of general underwear, detailed description thereof will be omitted.

    • In addition, the drawings herein show a state, in which the underwear body 10 is turned over or the underwear body 10 is opened, so as to show the inner surface of the underwear body 10, that is, the inner front surface 11 of the underwear body 10 where the penis and the scrotum are in close contact.

According to the present invention, one pair of scrotal bands 30, 30L, 30R are provided as one pair of scrotal bands 30, which includes a left scrotal band 30L for supporting the left side of the scrotum and a right scrotal band 30R for supporting the right side of the scrotum, as shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 3. Each upper side L34 of the both left and right scrotal bands 30L, 30R is sewn and fixed long in a longitudinal direction to the left or right side of the groin, and lower sides P12 of the both left and right scrotal bands are respectively fixed to the underwear body at positions corresponding to the lower portion of the perineum and scrotum of a wearer, wherein lower sides P12 of the both left and right scrotal bands respectively fixed to the underwear body while being spaced apart from each other at a predetermined distance.

The upper sides L34 of the scrotal bands 30 are preferably fixed by sewing the upper sides L34 long in the longitudinal direction of the groin so as to improve durability, and the lower sides P12 of the scrotal bands can be fixed with sewing points sewn with one or two stitches at first points P1 and second points P2, respectively, thereby improving breathability and, by extension, minimizing the rough feeling caused by a seam line. However, the lower sides P12 of the scrotal bands can also be fixed to a perineum area of the underwear body by sewing as necessary.

At this time, long sides L13 of the both left and right scrotal bands are preferably configured to have a length corresponding to a distance from points P3 of the groin of the wearer to the points P1 of the perineum of the wearer. The long sides L13 of the scrotal bands with this length is formed at such an appropriate distance (that is, the distance from the points P3 of the groin of the wearer to the points P1 of the perineum of the wearer), at which the long sides L13 of the scrotal bands are not loose or tight in wearing condition.

Therefore, when worn, the long sides L13 of the scrotal bands stably come into close contact with the groin of the wearer, wherein the long sides L13 of the scrotal bands are prevented from being too loose to fit the groin of the wearer or, conversely, from being too tight and applying pressure to the groin of the wearer.

In addition, short sides L24 of the both left and right scrotal bands are preferably configured to have a length longer than a distance from points P4 of the groin of the wearer to the second points of the scrotal bands in wearing condition, so as to allow loose wrinkles (sagging) to be formed on the short sides L24 of the scrotal bands. The wrinkles formed on the short sides L24 of the scrotal bands serve to improve breathability with respect to the scrotal surface in normal times or when the scrotum is contracted. When the scrotum expands and relaxes, the wrinkles formed on the short sides L24 of the scrotal bands unfold and support the scrotum without applying pressure to the scrotum.

A ventilation hole 35 is formed between each short side (L24) of the scrotal bands and the front surface of the underwear body.

    • In order to implement the functions, the one pair of scrotal bands 30, 30L, 30R according to the present invention preferably have a square or trapezoidal shape where the length of the long sides L13 are longer than the length of the short sides L24, as shown in FIG. 4.

Since the upper sides L34 of the scrotal bands 30 are fixed to the underwear body in the longitudinal direction of the groin seam lines, more wrinkles can be formed on the short sides L24 as an inclination angle of the upper sides L34 approaches 90°. However, in order for the scrotal bands to stably support the scrotum without uncomfortable pressure applied to the scrotum even when the scrotum is maximally inflated or relaxed, it is preferable to form wrinkles on the short sides L24.

The present invention has been derived to further improve the technology of Korean registered patent no. 10-2198590 (Prior Art 6) of the inventor of the present invention, which has disadvantages in that an underwear body and a scrotal band overlap each other at a portion under the scrotum, that is, an area adjacent to the perineum and thus the portion under the scrotum is made up of two layers and becomes thicker, reducing ventilation under the scrotum. Therefore, if the portion under the scrotum does not fit the body shape of a wearer well or if the wearer's lower abdomen or scrotum expands or relaxes, the elasticity of the two layers is bound to decrease significantly. In order to solve the problem of the prior art 6 in which the scrotal band becomes tight and imparts pressure to the scrotum, in the present invention, the one pair of independent left and right scrotal bands are separately formed on the both left and right sides, and the lower sides of the both left and right scrotal bands are fixed to be spaced apart from each other at a predetermined interval d0 at the perineum area of the underwear body, so that the scrotum is supported only by the underwear body at the lower portion of the scrotum of the wearer, that is, under the perineum area, thereby improving breathability and sweat absorption/dissipation performance under the scrotum. In addition, when the scrotum expands or relaxes, the elasticity of the underwear body at the perineum area is exhibited, thereby minimizing pressure applied to the scrotum and maximizing stable support of the scrotum.

In other words, in order to improve breathability and elasticity under the wearer's perineum and scrotum, the lower sides L12 of the both left and right scrotal bands according to the present invention are fixed to the underwear body, spacing apart from each other at the lower portion of the wearer's scrotum, that is, the perineum area. Therefore, only the underwear body is provided below the wearer's perineum and scrotum, without the scrotum bands.

FIG. 1 to FIG. 3 show embodiments, in which the lower sides P12 of the both left and right scrotal bands are parallel to each other and fixed to the inner front surface of the underwear body. However, if the lower sides P12 of the both left and right scrotal bands are arranged such that a separation distance d2 between the second points of the both left and right scrotal bands is greater than the separation distance d1 between the first points of the both left and right scrotal bands, breathability and elasticity under the scrotum can be further improved compared to the configuration in which the lower sides P12 of the both left and right scrotal bands are arranged parallel to each other.

However, based on scrotal bands of same size, if the scrotal bands are arranged such that the separation distance d2 between the second points is greater than the separation distance d1 between the first points, more wrinkles may be formed on the short sides L24 of the scrotal bands, which may decrease the stability of supporting the sides of the scrotum.

For reference, the average value of the separation distance d1 between the first points P1, P1 of the both left and right scrotal bands and the separation distance d2 between the second points P2, P2 of the both left and right scrotal bands is referred to as “average separation distance d0”.

The lower side L12 of the scrotal band according to the present invention may be formed of a modified lower side L12′, as shown in FIG. 4.

Unlike the lower sides L12 in the embodiments shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 3, the modified lower side L12′ (hereinafter, referred to as “second lower side”) has a smaller inclination angle at the first point P1 of the scrotal band 30 and a larger inclination angle at the second point P2 according to a modified embodiment. The scrotal band with the second lower side L12′ modified in this way has a short side L24 shortened.

In the case of the scrotal band with the second lower side L12′ modified in this way, it is preferable to arrange the scrotal band such that the separation distance d2 between the second points is greater than the separation distance d1 between the first points.

If the lower sides P12 of two scrotal bands that have the modified second lower sides L12′ are arranged parallel to each other, since the length of the short sides L24 of the scrotal bands is reduced while the distance from the points P4 of the groin of the wearer to the second points P2 of the scrotal bands is equal, the loose wrinkles (or sagging) formed on the short sides L24 of the scrotal bands are reduced, increasing the likelihood of uncomfortable pressure in the scrotum increases when the scrotum expands or relaxes.

In the preferred embodiments according to the present invention described above, the standard dimensions of the scrotal band suitable for the size of the underwear body may be briefly explained based on FIG. 4 as shown in [Table 1] below.

As a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the length of the long sides L13 of the scrotal bands according to the present invention is preferably 10˜14 cm. For example, it is preferable to gradually build up the length to 10 cm for an underwear body of size 95, 11 cm for an underwear body of size 100, 12.5 cm for an underwear body of size 105, and 14 cm for an underwear body of size 100. It is also preferable to set the length of the short sides L24 of the scrotal bands in the range of 5˜9 cm in a ratio corresponding to the size of the underwear body, and a width W of the scrotal bands is preferably set in the range of 3.5˜4 cm.

The functional male underwear with one pair of scrotal bands according to the present invention has been described above with reference to the preferred embodiments of the present invention. The functional male underwear with one pair of scrotal bands according to the present invention has excellent functional effects in that the functional male underwear is very easy to wear, each long side of the both left and right scrotal bands comes in close contact with the groin between the scrotum and thighs, effectively absorbing sweat from the groin, wearing comfort and breathability can be improved in the area below the scrotum, and in particular, the scrotum can be stably supported without pressure even when the scrotum expands or relaxes.

In addition, the functional underwear according to the present invention has a simple structure, resulting in a simple manufacturing process, since the one pair of scrotal bands are provided sewing the upper ends of the one pair of scrotal bands along the groin seam lines and fixing the lower ends to the lower portion corresponding to the perineum. In addition, even if the scrotal bands are made of a material such as scrap fabric (especially, leftover fabric after cutting the underwear body) rather than a highly elastic material, the scrotal bands can stably come into close contact with the wearer's groin, thereby saving production costs.

In explaining the present invention above, the present invention has been described focusing on the functional male underwear having a certain shape, structure, and configuration with reference to the accompanying drawings. However, various modifications, changes and substitutions can be made to the present invention by a person of ordinary skill in the art, and such modifications, changes and substitutions should be construed as falling within the scope of protection of the present invention.
