Claims
- 1. A merchandise display system for absorbent articles, the merchandise display system comprising:
a first absorbent article configuration, the first absorbent article configuration including a chassis designed to correspond to a wearer's first stage of development; a second absorbent article configuration, the second absorbent article configuration including a chassis designed to correspond to a wearer's second stage of development, and indicia exhibiting pictorial representations associating the first and the second absorbent article configurations with respective first and second stages of development wherein the association enables a consumer to identify the appropriate absorbent article configuration for a wearer.
- 2. The merchandise display system according to claim 1 wherein the indicia are disposed on a display panel exhibiting the first absorbent article configuration fitted to a first wearer representing the wearer's first stage of development and the second absorbent article configuration fitted to a second wearer representing the wearer's second stage of development.
- 3. The merchandise display system according to claim 2 wherein the indicia further comprise a first product name corresponding to the first absorbent article configuration and a second product name corresponding to the second absorbent article configuration.
- 4. The merchandise display system according to claim 1 wherein the first and second absorbent article configurations are wrapped in packages including indicia disposed thereon wherein the indicia for the first absorbent article configuration exhibits the first absorbent article fitted to a wearer at the wearer's first stage of development and the indicia for the second absorbent article configuration exhibits the second absorbent article fitted to a wearer at the wearer's second stage of development.
- 5. The merchandise display system according to claim 4 wherein the indicia for the first absorbent article configuration further comprises a first product name corresponding to the first absorbent article configuration and wherein the indicia for the second absorbent article configuration further comprises a second product name corresponding to the second absorbent article configuration.
- 6. The merchandise display system according to claim 1 wherein the first absorbent article configuration is available in a first size and a second size.
- 7. The merchandise display system according to claim 6 wherein the second absorbent article configuration is available in a second size and a third size.
- 8. The merchandise display system according to claim 1 further comprising a third absorbent article configuration, the third absorbent article configuration including a chassis designed to correspond to a wearer's third stage of development and indicia exhibiting a pictorial representation of the third absorbent article configuration fitted to a wearer at the wearer's third stage of development.
- 9. The merchandise display system according to claim 8 wherein the indicia further comprises a third product name corresponding to the third product configuration.
- 10. The merchandise display system according to claim 8 wherein the third absorbent article configuration is available in a third size and a fourth size.
- 11. The merchandise display system according to claim 10 further comprising a fourth absorbent article configuration, the fourth absorbent article configuration including a chassis designed to correspond to a wearer's fourth stage of development and indicia exhibiting a pictorial representation of the fourth absorbent article configuration fitted to a wearer at the wearer's fourth stage of development.
- 12. The merchandise display system according to claim 11 wherein the fourth absorbent article configuration is available in a fourth size and a fifth size.
- 13. The merchandise display system according to claim 12 further comprising a display arrangement wherein the first, second, third and fourth absorbent article configurations are arranged in a first sequential order from the wearer's first stage of development to the wearer's fourth stage of development.
- 14. The merchandise display system according to claim 13 wherein the first, second, third and fourth absorbent article configurations are arranged in a second sequential order according to size ranging from smaller sizes to larger sizes.
- 15. The merchandise display system according to claim 14 wherein at least one available size for the first absorbent article configuration is the same as at least one available size for the second absorbent article configuration.
- 16. The merchandise display system according to claim 15 wherein the first sequential order is arranged in a first direction according to the stages of development and wherein the second sequential order is arranged in a second direction according to size.
- 17. A device for identifying an absorbent article configuration according to a wearer's stage of development, the device comprising:
a stationary component having a first wearer characteristic disposed thereon, the first wearer characteristic including at least two first wearer characteristic types; and a movable component having a second wearer characteristic disposed thereon, the second wearer characteristic including at least two second wearer characteristic types; wherein the moveable component can move relative to the stationary component in order to align the first and second wearer characteristic types matching a particular wearer.
- 18. The device according to claim 17 wherein the first wearer characteristic is a wearer's stage of development.
- 19. The device according to claim 17 wherein the second wearer characteristic is a wearer's weight.
- 20. The device according to claim 17 wherein the second wearer characteristic is a wearer's height.
- 21. The device according to claim 18 wherein the stage of development includes a pre-locomotive phase wherein the wearers include newborn infants and immobile toddlers.
- 22. The device according to claim 18 wherein the stage of development includes a crawling phase wherein the wearers are capable of scooting, rolling, and crawling.
- 23. The device according to claim 18 wherein the stage of development includes a walking phase wherein the wearers are capable of standing and walking.
- 24. The device according to claim 18 wherein the stage of development includes a self dressing phase wherein the wearers are capable of participating in a dressing experience.
- 25. The device according to claim 18 wherein the device is selected from the group consisting of a dial, a slide rule, and a rotary cylinder.
- 26. A method of marketing disposable absorbent articles to consumers, the method comprising the steps of:
providing a plurality of absorbent article configurations, the plurality of absorbent article configurations including chassis designed to correspond to at least three stages of development ranging from prelocomotive infants to walking toddlers; providing indicia including pictorial representations of each absorbent article configuration fitted to a wearer at the corresponding stage of development; and displaying the plurality of absorbent article configurations for sale in a sequential order from the early stages of development to the later stages of development.
- 27. Method of marketing disposable absorbent articles according to claim 26 wherein the indicia are disposed on a display panel.
- 28. Method of marketing disposable absorbent articles according to claim 26 wherein the display panel further comprises product names for each absorbent article configuration, wherein the product names associate each absorbent article configuration with a stage of development.
