Claims
- 1. A compound of formula: ##STR27## wherein X is selected from O, S, SO and SO.sub.2 ; Q is O or S; Y is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, C.sub.2 -C.sub.5 alkenyl, C.sub.2 -C.sub.5 alkynyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy, CH.sub.3 S, CH.sub.3 SO.sub.2, CF.sub.3, CN, NO.sub.2, NH.sub.2, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkylamino, ##STR28## Z is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy, halogen, CF.sub.3 and NO.sub.2 ; U is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkoxy and halogen; A represents a C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 carbon chain which may be saturated or unsaturated, and is optionally monosubstituted with C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkoxy, phenyl, CF.sub.3, CH.sub.3 S, CN, halogen, OH, O, NO.sub.2, ##STR29## or is optionally disubstituted wherein one of the substituents is selected from the hereinabovenamed group and the second substituent is selected from C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl or halogen; or A is a moiety represented by formula: ##STR30## wherein n is an integer from 1 to 5; R is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl; R.sub.1 is selected from hydrogen, CH.sub.3 and CHO; R.sub.2 is selected from hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.2 alkyl, C.sub.3 alkenyl or C.sub.3 L alkynyl; R.sub.3 is selected from C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl, C.sub.3 alkenyl or C.sub.3 alkynyl, with the proviso that one of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 must be hydrogen or CHO; R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 each are hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl; R.sub.6 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl.
- 2. A compound according to claim 1, wherein X is O; Q is O; Y and Z each are selected from hydrogen, Cl, F, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy, NO.sub.2 ; U is hydrogen; A is a saturated C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 carbon chain optionally monosubstituted with C.sub.1 -C.sub.2 alkyl, CH.sub.3 O, CH.sub.3 S, CH.sub.3L O.sub.2 S, CN, Br, Cl, F, NHCHO and ##STR31## is hydrogen or CHO; R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 each are C.sub.1 -C.sub.2 alkyl; R.sub.5 each are hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl.
- 3. A compound according to claim 1, wherein X is O; Q is O; Y is selected from hydrogen, CH.sub.3 and Cl; Z is selected from hydrogen, CH.sub.3, CH.sub.3 O, Cl and F; U is hydrogen; R.sub.1 is hydrogen; R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 each are CH.sub.3 ; A is selected from ##STR32##
- 4. The compound according to claim 1, 1-methoxy-1-methyl-3-[3-(phenethyloxy)phenyl]urea.
- 5. The compound according to claim 1, 1-methoxy-1-methyl-3-[3-(4-methylphenethyloxy)phenyl]urea.
- 6. The compound according to claim 1, 1-methoxy-1-methyl-3-[3-(4-methoxyphenethyloxy)phenyl]urea.
- 7. The compound according to claim 1, 1-methoxy-1-methyl-3-[3-(3-methoxyphenethyloxy)phenyl]urea.
- 8. The compound according to claim 1, 1-methoxy-1-methyl-3-[3-(.beta.-ethylphenethyloxy)phenyl]urea.
