- 2. The ridge cap of claim 1 in which the return bend portions folded over the rear sections, and the rear sections, have openings for receiving means for fastening the ridge cap to a roof or wall.

- 4. A corner cap for a vertical wall or mansard roof covered with shakes or shingles, said cap having a main wall portion provided with an outer surface formed to simulate the appearance of a wooden shake or shingle and having two angularly disposed, generally planar sections which provide a crest at the center of said cap, with each section having a front wall portion dependent from the forward edge thereof, and located at a substantially right angle to the plane of the section, with each front wall having, in turn, at least one integral flange extending toward the rear of the cap, a tab extending rearwardly from the rear edge of each section for fastening the cap to a supporting surface, and a side wall depending from opposed, side edges of the sections.
- 5. The corner cap of claim 4 in which the side walls are provided with at least one score line extending the length of the side walls, and an integral tab located adjacent the rear of each side wall for removing at least a portion of the side wall along said score line.
- 6. The corner cap of claim 4 in which the front wall portion has a rearwardly extending tab located adjacent each side wall of the cap.
- 7. A cap for the hip of a sloping roof covered with shingles or shakes, said cap having a main wall portion provided with an outer surface formed to simulate the appearance of a wooden shake or shingle and having two angularly disposed, generally planar sections which provide a crest at the center of said cap, with each section having a front wall portion dependent from the forward edge thereof, and located at a substantially right angle to the plane of the section, with each front wall having, in turn, at least one integral flange extending toward the rear of the cap, a tab extending rearwardly from the rear edge of each section for fastening the cap to a supporting surface, and a side wall depending from opposed, side edges of the sections.
- 8. The hip cap of claim 7 in which the side walls are provided with at least one score line extending the length of the side walls, and an integral tab located adjacent the rear of each side wall for removing at least a portion of the side wall along said score line.
- 9. The hip cap of claim 1 in which the front wall portions are each provided with a rearwardly extending tab located beneath each side wall of the cap.
