- 11. A metering device as claimed in claim 7 characterised in that the rotary metering member comprises a feed roll that is an axial sliding fit in an opening in a rotary sealing means mounted in the other of said slots in the respective adjacent side wall of the housing to seal between the feed roll and the slot.
- 12. A metering device as claimed in claim 11 characterised in that said control lever is connected to abutment means that is engageable with the rotary sealing means to retain the latter in said other slot.
- 13. A metering device as claimed in claim 12 characterised in that the abutment means connected to the control lever comprises a lug that overlaps a peripheral portion of the rotary sealing means to retain the latter against the outer face of said side wall when the control lever is in engagement with the stop means, disengagement of the control lever from the stop means and angular movement thereof to an open position causing said lug to free said peripheral portion of the rotary sealing means.
