Claims
- 1. Apparatus for introducing fluid between two spaced-apart plates provided with central openings, comprising retention means for holding and moving the plates relative to one another; centering means for centering the plates; and at least one supply line for conducting a fluid, said fluid supply line being guided from outside through one of the central openings and terminating in a space between the spaced-apart plates.
- 2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the plates are DVD halves, and the fluid is an adhesive.
- 3. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the centering means includes upper and lower centering pins which are moveable through the center openings.
- 4. The apparatus of claim 3, wherein the supply line is formed as a flexible metering needle, said flexible metering needle being guided in a guide tube which is inserted in the central opening at an angle and extends through a lower region of the upper centering pin, wherein the guide tube transitions inside the lower centering pin into a horizontal disposition, without protruding from the centering pin at the exit location, and further comprising shifting means for moving the flexible metering needle in the guide tube.
- 5. The apparatus of claim 4, wherein the shifting means is an air cylinder.
- 6. The apparatus of claim 4, wherein the guide tube is inserted in the central opening at a flat angle.
- 7. The apparatus of claim 3, wherein the upper centering pin having a surface provided with one or more axis-parallel recesses, said fluid supply line being formed in the region of the centering pin as a L-shaped metering needle having a vertical portion extending in one of the axis-parallel recesses, and an end portion located in a radial recess disposed in a lower end region of the centering pin and bent about an angle so as to be substantially parallel to the spaced-apart plates.
- 8. The apparatus of claim 7, wherein the metering needle is a steel needle.
- 9. The apparatus of claim 7, wherein the radial recess disposed in a lower end region of the centering pin has a U-shaped cross section.
- 10. The apparatus of claim 7, and further comprising rotary means for rotating the metering needle about a vertical axis; and adjusting means for changing a vertical position of the metering needle.
- 11. The apparatus of claim 7, wherein the upper centering pin has a lower end which is located below the end portion of the metering needle and is shaped as a disc, with a channel being formed in this region for drawing excess adhesive (adhesive suction channel), said channel extending in the upper centering pin and connected to a suction device.
- 12. The apparatus of claim 7, wherein the end portion is bent by 90°.
- 13. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the retention means is formed as vacuum discs.
- 14. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein the centering means includes upper and lower centering pins which are moveable through the center openings, with an upper vacuum disc having a vacuum channel which is connected via an annular groove on the upper centering pin to a vacuum channel in the upper centering pin, said vacuum channel of the upper centering pin being connected to a vacuum pump.
- 15. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the retention means has marginal regions provided with a system comprised of resiliently supported driving pins and engagement grooves, and further comprising a rotary drive for at least one of the vacuum discs, wherein at least the vacuum disc having the engagement grooves is rotary driven.
- 16. The apparatus of claim 1, and further comprising a spindle drive for moving the plates.
