Claims
- 1. An uninterruptible power supply that provides power to an electrical device, the uninterruptible power supply comprising:
a first housing; a cover plate that includes a plurality of electrical outlets located on a surface of the cover plate, and said cover plate is connected to the first housing in an angled position; and a battery in electrical communication with the plurality of electrical outlets on the surface of the cover plate, and the battery being removably attached to the first housing.
- 2. The uninterruptible power supply of claim 1 wherein the cover plate is removably connected to the first housing.
- 3. The uninterruptible power supply of claim 2 wherein the cover plate is constructed and arranged to accommodate being mated to the first housing.
- 4. The uninterruptible power supply of claim 3 wherein the cover plate includes a plurality of replacement cover plates each constructed and arranged to accommodate being mated to the first housing.
- 5. The uninterruptible power supply of claim 1 wherein the first housing includes a front surface, a back surface, a side surface, a top surface and a bottom surface.
- 6. The uninterruptible power supply of claim 5 wherein the top surface includes a plurality of electrical outlets configured to correspond with a predetermined power standard.
- 7. The uninterruptible power supply of claim 2 wherein each replacement cover plate is constructed and arranged to accomodate a predetermined power standard.
- 8. The uninterruptible power supply of claim 1 wherein the first housing is constructed and arranged to facilitate power cables being draped along the cover plate.
- 9. The uninterruptible power supply of claim 1 further comprises:
a plurality of lights being distributed on a first angled surface.
- 10. The uninterruptible power supply of claim 9 wherein the first angled surface slopes from the cover plate towards a front surface of said uninterruptible power supply.
- 11. The uninterruptible power supply of claim 1 wherein the surface of the cover plate is constructed and arranged to slope from a front surface to a back surface of said uninterruptible power supply.
- 12. The system of claim 9 wherein the plurality of lights provide information regarding the status of the battery.
- 13. A method of manufacturing an uninterruptible power supply, the method comprising the steps of:
creating a first housing that facilitates power cables being draped along a dimension of the first housing; and providing a plurality of cover plates each cover plate being constructed and arranged to mate with a surface of the first housing; and each cover plate being adapted for a predetermined power standard.
- 14. The method of claim 13 wherein the step of creating the first housing includes the step of providing said first housing with an angled surface.
- 15. The method of claim 13 wherein the step of providing a plurality of cover plates includes the step of providing electrical outlets having geometric configurations that correspond to the predetermined power standard.
- 16. A cover plate for an uninterruptible power supply, the cover plate comprising:
a plurality of first housings each being removably connected to a second housing; a plurality of electrical outlets distributed on a surface of the first housing; a power cord electrically matched to the plurality of electrical outlets the power cord being attached to the first housing; and a telephone line connector being located on the first housing.
- 17. The cover plate of claim 16 wherein each of the first housings are constructed and arranged to mate with the second housing of the uninterruptible power supply.
- 18. The cover plate of claim 16 wherein the power cord is removably connected to the first housing.
- 19. The cover plate of claim 16 wherein the plurality of electrical outlets distributed on the surface of the first housing includes electrical outlets having geometric configurations that correspond to a particular power standard.
- 20. A cover plate for an uninterruptible power supply, the cover plate comprising:
a first housing; a plurality of electrical outlets distributed on a surface of the first housing; a power cord electrically matched to the plurality of electrical outlets on the surface of said first housing and connected to the first housing; and a telephone line connector located on the first housing.
- 21. The cover plate of claim 20 wherein the first housing is constructed and arranged to mate with a second housing.
- 22. The cover plate of claim 20 wherein the first housing includes a connector for a facsimile.
- 23. The cover plate of claim 20 wherein the first housing includes a connector for a modem.
- 24. The cover plate of claim 20 wherein the plurality of electrical outlets on the surface of said first housing includes electrical outlets having geometric configurations that correspond to a particular power standard.
- 25. An uninterruptible power supply that provides power to an electrical device, the uninterruptible power supply comprising:
a first housing having a front surface, a back surface, a side surface, a top surface and a bottom surface; a cover plate that includes a plurality of electrical outlets located on a surface of the cover plate, and said cover plate is connected to the first housing in an angled position; and a battery in electrical communication with the plurality of electrical outlets on the surface of the cover plate, and the battery being removably attached to the first housing.
- 26. The uninterruptible power supply of claim 25 wherein the back surface includes telephone line connectors.
- 27. The uninterruptible power supply of claim 25 wherein the side surface includes means for passive cooling.
- 28. The uninterruptible power supply of claim 25 wherein the top surface includes a plurality of electrical outlets that correspond to a predetermined power standard.
- 29. The uninterruptible power supply of claim 25 wherein the top surface is removably connected to the front surface and angled downwards towards the back surface of said uninterruptible power supply.
- 30. The uninterruptible power supply of claim 25 wherein the top surface is angled downwards towards the back surface to facilitate accessing the plurality of electrical outlets on the surface of the cover plate from the front surface.
- 31. The uninterruptible power supply of claim 5 wherein the top surface is angled downwards towards the back surface to facilitate accessing the plurality of electrical outlets on the surface of the cover plate from the front surface.
