Claims
- 1. A method of providing a user interface with embedded data, comprising:
embedding a tiled code pattern to encode a context code; and embedding an occlusion region on each tile, where the occlusion region comprises user interface graphics.
- 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the occlusion region comprises a selection information.
- 3. The method of claim 2, wherein the embedded data comprises glyph codes.
- 4. The method of claim 2 further comprising capturing the embedded data.
- 5. The method of claim 4 further comprising the step of processing the syntax of the context code and the selection code.
- 6. The method of claim 4, further comprising the step of decoding the captured data.
- 7. An embedded data code on a substrate, comprising:
periodic tiles, each comprising:
a predefined code area having a context code pattern common to the other tiles; and a predefined occlusion having a graphical selection information pattern.
- 8. The embedded data code of claim 7, wherein the embedded data comprises glyphs.
- 9. The embedded data code of claim 7, wherein the occlusion comprises a graphic.
- 10. The embedded data code of claim 7, wherein the occlusion comprises address codes.
- 11. The embedded data code of claim 10, wherein the address codes support reconstruction of the tiles.
- 12. The embedded data code of claim 7, wherein the occlusion comprises text.
- 13. The embedded data code of claim 7, wherein the occlusion region comprises glyphs.
- 14. The embedded data code of claim 13, wherein the glyphs in the tiled code have a homogenous appearance.
- 15. The embedded data code of claim 13 where the glyphs comprise glyphtones.
- 16. The embedded data code of claim 7 comprising multiple occlusions within a tile.
