Claims
- 1.-10. (canceled)
- 11. A method for reducing wrinkles, comprising:
placing a probe in contact with a skin with a wrinkle; delivering radio frequency energy into the skin through the probe to denature skin tissue and reduce the wrinkle.
- 12. The method of claim 11, wherein a tip of the probe is inserted into the skin.
- 13. The method of claim 11, wherein the radio frequency energy is delivered in less than one second.
- 14. (canceled)
- 15. The method of claim 11, wherein the placing of the probe on the skin and delivery of radio frequency energy occurs at a plurality of skin locations in a repetitive pattern.
- 16. An apparatus for reducing wrinkles, comprising:
a probe that is placed in contact with a skin with a wrinkle; a console connected to said probe, said console provides a radio frequency energy to said probe that is delivered into the skin for a time duration no greater than one second.
- 17. The apparatus of claim 16, wherein said probe includes a tip with a stop.
- 18. The apparatus of claim 16, wherein said probe includes a tip that extends from a spring beam.
- 19. An apparatus for reducing wrinkles, comprising:
a probe that has a stop; a console connected to said probe, said console provides a radio frequency energy to said probe that is delivered for a time duration no greater than one second.
- 20. The apparatus of claim 16, wherein said probe includes a tip that extends from a spring beam.
- 21. A method for shrinking a skin tissue, comprising:
placing a probe in contact with the skin tissue; and, delivering radio frequency energy into the skin tissue through the probe to denature and shrink the skin tissue.
- 22. The method of claim 21, wherein a tip of the probe is inserted into the skin tissue.
- 23. The method of claim 21, wherein the radio frequency energy is delivered in less than one second.
- 23. The method of claim 21, wherein the placing of the probe on the skin and delivery of radio frequency energy occurs at a plurality of skin locations.
- 24. The method of claim 23, wherein the plurality of skin locations creates a tightening profile.
- 25. An apparatus for shrinking a skin tissue, comprising:
a probe that is placed in contact with the skin tissue; and, a console connected to said probe, said console provides a radio frequency energy to said probe for a time interval established by said console.
- 26. The apparatus of claim 25, wherein said probe includes a tip with a stop.
- 27. The apparatus of claim 25, wherein said probe includes a tip that extends from a spring beam.
- 28. The apparatus of claim 25, further comprising a ground element coupled to said console.
- 29. The apparatus of claim 16, further comprising a ground element coupled to said console.
- 30. The apparatus of claim 19, further comprising a ground element coupled to said console.
- 31. The apparatus of claim 25, wherein said probe is bi-polar.
- 32. The apparatus of claim 16, wherein said probe is bi-polar.
- 33. The apparatus of claim 19, wherein said probe is bi-polar.
- 34. An apparatus for shrinking a skin tissue, comprising:
a probe that is placed in contact with the skin tissue; and, means for providing a radio frequency energy to said probe for a time interval established by said means.
- 35. The apparatus of claim 34, wherein said probe includes a tip with a stop.
- 36. The apparatus of claim 34, wherein said probe includes a tip that extends from a spring beam.
- 37. The apparatus of claim 34, further comprising a ground element coupled to said means.
- 38. The apparatus of claim 34, wherein said probe is bi-polar.
