Claims
- 1. An apparatus for covering a watch worn on a wrist of a user, the apparatus comprising:
a band portion for circumferentially surrounding a substantial portion of the watch; a transparent window for allowing the user to view a face of the watch; whereby the apparatus circumferentially surrounds and thereby protects the watch.
- 2. The apparatus for covering a watch on a wrist of a user in claim 1, wherein the band portion is elastic.
- 3. The apparatus for covering a watch on a wrist of a user in claim 1, wherein the band portion is absorbent.
- 4. The apparatus for covering a watch on a wrist of a user in claim 1, wherein the band portion is an open cell foam.
- 5. The apparatus for covering a watch on a wrist of a user in claim 1, further comprising at least one heat seal permanently securing the band portion to the window.
- 6. The apparatus for covering a watch on a wrist of a user in claim 1, wherein the window portion is a clear plastic film.
- 7. The apparatus for covering a watch on a wrist of a user in claim 1, wherein the apparatus is disposable.
- 8. The apparatus for covering a watch on a wrist of a user in claim 1, wherein the band portion is an open cell foam, wherein the window is a clear plastic film, and further comprising at least one heat seal permanently securing the band portion to the window.
- 9. The apparatus for covering a watch on a wrist of a user in claim 1, wherein the band portion has a length and a width, the band portion being elastically deformable along both the length and the width.
- 10. The apparatus for covering a watch on a wrist of a user in claim 1, wherein the band portion includes first and second ends generally parallel to one another, the first end of the band secured to a first end of the transparent window at a first heat seal, the second end of the band secured to a second end of the transparent window at a second heat seal.
- 11. An apparatus for covering a sprinkler head, the apparatus comprising:
a cover defining a cavity, the cover having an open end for receiving the sprinkler head into the cavity; at least a portion of the cover constructed of a breathable material that allows smoke to penetrate through the cover for activating the sprinkler head.
- 12. The apparatus for covering a sprinkler head of claim 11, wherein the cover includes a first side secured to a second side.
- 13. The apparatus for covering a sprinkler head of claim 11, wherein the first and second sides are secured to one another by at least one heat seal.
- 14. The apparatus for covering a sprinkler head of claim 11, wherein the portion of the cover is absorbent.
- 15. The apparatus for covering a sprinkler head of claim 11, wherein the portion of the cover is an open cell foam.
- 16. A method of protecting a ceiling mounted sprinkler head from paint while maintaining the functionality of the sprinkler head, the method comprising the steps of:
providing a cover defining a cavity for receiving the sprinkler head, the cover including at least a portion constructed of a breathable material; inserting the sprinkler head into the cavity of the cover to surround and protect the sprinkler head; and allowing air to penetrate the portion of the cover so as to permit sensing of the sprinkler head for smoke.
- 17. The method of protecting a ceiling mounted sprinkler head from paint while maintaining the functionality of the sprinkler head of claim 16, wherein the step of inserting the sprinkler head into the cavity includes the step of elastically stretching the cover.
- 18. The step of inserting the sprinkler head into the cavity of claim 17, further comprising the step of securing the cover to the sprinkler head by allowing the cover to at least partially return to an unstretched condition.
- 19. The method of protecting a ceiling mounted sprinkler head from paint while maintaining the functionality of the sprinkler head of claim 16, further comprising the step of forcing the cover from the sprinkler head with water emitted from the sprinkler head.
